Hi,

I play ET at 'F|A Recruiting' and there I see everybody running very fast, how is this possible?

I already use 'run' and I jump, but still some people are twice as fast as me... :(

How is that possible?

Yes we do kinda gamma jumps. You need to move your mouse. Everything is related to the mouse movements once you have the right key combination.

Its also your cfg(config ) some ppl use diffrent vallues and they move faster than normal (standard) and i know what you mean you are running and jumping like they are but they run past you .

It probb also has to do with your hardware cos on my old computer ppl run past me on my new one i run past to ppl probb the frames per second have to do with it also .

And i sometiomes see ppl move so fast left right they must have gift from god (or a speedhack).

My computer is old, so that can be (one of the) case(s).

But I'll try to use those 'gamma jumps' for the next few days, although I already did something like that and moving my mouse...

Maybe they use the small adrenaline bar (hold down shift to use)

Or if its for Minas Tirith where they jump really fast, yes that is a TJ (Trickjump)

I always have a finger pressing down on shift.

I tell u some tips which I use.. They are not faster than other but rather easy to do.

First cap you fps to 76 or 125. Make sure you get stable 76 or 125 fps.

It can be done by typing this in console:

seta com_maxfps 125

First sprint(not run!) a little to build up your speed. Now press jump. Now when you are in midair and slightly beginning to descend form first jump press jump button again. you will gain more speed and height. Now wait to come on ground and jump again as soon as you touch the ground. Wait for slight descend and jump again. Repeat this. After each successful jump you will gain more speed.

in Double jumping only the second jump does not use any stamina.

Crouching in mid air does not increase speed. However, because it gets your head lower, you can go under lower passages and it's usefull to get used to doing.

Hear are the points you should know about Full Beat also known as strafe. All text is taken from trickjumping tutorial from tjmod's homepage.

* You should ALWAYS move your mouse, even if the movement is so small that you almost can't see it. Mouse movement is what creates speed. You can't gain speed without moving your mouse, and moving your mouse wrong will either give you much less than optimal speed or actually slow you down.

* Moving your mouse, without holding any keys, will not give you speed.

* Holding the 'correct' keys, without moving your mouse, will not give you speed.

* If you STOP moving your mouse while jumping, while still hold the correct keys, your speed will remain static. In other words, your speed won't increase, but it won't decrease either.

* Releasing all keys while jumping will decrease your speed.

* Pressing the opposite keys while jumping (e.g. S instead of W) will rapidly decrease your speed

* If you move your mouse the wrong way, while still holding the correct keys, you will lose speed!

* If you move your mouse (slowly) the correct way, while still holding the correct keys, you will GAIN speed. So this is what you should try to do.

- When holding W+A, the correct way (direction) to move your mouse, is to the LEFT

- When holding W+D, the correct way (direction) to move your mouse, is to the RIGHT

* ONLY horizontal (sideways) mouse movements makes a difference. Vertical (up and down) movements have no actual effect. (This is a 100% fact!)

its usually my bullets hitting them in the ass. This makes them move faster from the impact. Just a theory.
