As far as I am informed (Hecken), we can do obj in the first 5 minutes of a map BUT not the obj which would end the map. So we are not allowed to finish the map within the first 5 minutes, but we can do obj. Is this correct? For example we can blow the walls in et_beach in the first 5 minutes, but we are not allowed to bring the obj (documents) to the radio station. So, at 01:13 EDT at jay1 I was trying to blow up the first obj in et_do6 and then Tipsy splatted me. I asked her what I did wrong and she told me that I am not allowed to do it because of rules. Then I told her that I am, that she can ask Hecken and that she doesn't know her own FA rules. And then I got kicked with saying "enough". To make it clear, it was the first obj which would have been blown up. Yes, we are not allowed to blow up both of them but we can blow up 1 of them. Did it many times, and Hecken was ok with it. So, is it allowed or not? PS: I think Tipsy has a problem with me. She doesn't like me and she is chasing for a moment to "show it to me who the boss is". This moment was one actually. To get you clear, you blow first object , then somebody blows another and will say he didn't knew about 1st one and he thought he blew the first one. Nice trolling.. really. map et_beach : Player takes obj to radio station , map ends.He claims it was unintentional , enemy shot and pushed him or it was team player who pushed him and object got placed , none of his fault , he was just messing with objective. How about don't touch the objective before 5mins. and keep everything simple . Problem with you? Let's see : 1) I have problem with your daily nagging about maps running on server, while you want us to run your recommend list of maps. 2) I have problem with your arguing with other players about offensive name in main chat for hrs. 3) I have problem with your abusing team verbally. just because they playing their own game . This is jaymod we don't hate objective players , but please don't come here with your personal agenda of objective whoring/defending and force us to do as you wish to . Better play on silent or hc server , fully dedicated to objective. I don't have to show who boss is to you or to any other random player. I don't believe in bigger e-p3nis by lvls. Players play and leave , no wonder very handful players like you find themselves being targeted, while not looking at your own done . You guys are so full of self-righteousness its just pity . I dont care with my KR ratio but i care with objective that i alwys try to do. That is why i play on those FA servers. That is not the same thing here. The above has 2 stages to finish the map, this one only 1. And your comparison is very vague. You can't finish unintentionally et_beach. The first part is true, I nag about the maps, but the second part is not true. About nagging about maps, yes I do nag as I find them unbalanced or making the server unpopular. Just watch what happens when Saberpeak or Venice is played again. People leave. It is a fact. Or how often did you see Oasis or Goldrush was won by Allies? How often? I saw only once with my 150k xp that Allies won Goldrush. Never saw Oasis happening. Or saw only twice that Teuthonia got finished. There is a reason behind it. And technically I don't nag because nagging would mean I just complain but don't bring up usefull suggestions to make it better. See the suggestions forum, I brought up my suggestions. Third, I don't want you to run my recommended list of maps. But I find it very hypocritical from you, that you admitted that you didn't even read my suggestions. You admitted in chat to me (I assume you are Tipsy), that "oh, are you the guy with the long posts..." and so on. It is hypocritical to ask people to join the forums to make suggestions but at the same time admitting not to reading them or taking in consideration. I don't want you to run my list, but I just did what you told me to do: I joined the forums and took 3 hours of my time to post 19 maps (as I had to look up them, as I haven't played ET for 5-6 years). So I did my part. What else can I do? Nothing, it is up to you. I really doubt that you even do know half of the maps I suggested. Gengis I read the rules already, and I followed them. The other servers are mostly empty or just few players and with bots. No, thanks. On et_do6 final objetive are both Oil Valve and Motor Pump, doesn't matter if they're 2, they're both the same thing so isn't allowed and I told you that but you didn't got the point. You like to blow one objetive before 5 minutes passed so Axis have to camp in the 2nd one for 20~ minutes and not being able to leave their respawn almost, this is why some regulars complain about "Who rushed?" when this happens. But you were many times online and watched us doing the first obj. You never ever told me that we can't blow up either one of them. To sabotage or complete objectives while SHOOTIN' MOTHERf***ERS IN THE FACE. In. the. Face. Kapow. That should be a much bigger concern than some kid seeing bad names or dirty words. The whole 'OMG language bad! Violence ok!' culture is f***ed up. Besides. It's written in stone. We don't bother with names unless they're impersonating our members or downright antagonizing. We're not the name police. We also tolerate joking, dirty or not, to a certain extent. If it goes beyond too far, feel free to issue a complaint, with screenshots, here on the forum about said incident. Don't constantly complain on server. Oh, and in the real world, by the way, there are no laws about what you say in front of kids. I can scream big floppy donkey dicks all day long and the only thing the law might say is 'Quit disturbing the peace'. You are not their parent so it's not your duty to protect kids in any sense. Its their parent's duty. Lastly. Tipsy has a ****. Or so I hear. Could have a mangina for all I know. But still. She's a he. So the whole she/lady/her thing, probably ain't flying over too well. In a game you play with its rules to defeat the other one. If you play chess or ET, the same thing. You try to be smarter than your opponent, better than your opponent to win it. That is all about. The shooting part is just the way you win, not the goal of the game. But anything else besides the built-in ingame based things (such as shooting, destroying, stealing, hiding, etc.) are interactive human parts. So when I kill someone, it is just a virtual thing. But talking with people is not. You actually talk to real people. You play with real human beings. You don't play with robots from the future. That part of a game makes it interesting, to have actually a connection to other people. That is what we all like about this game. So, talking dirty stuff, using dirty expressions, are not a part of the game! YOU as a person make them up. YOU decide to behave like that. So there is a big difference. But you can't forbid me what I think is right to do. If you see a 10 years old kid in the night alone in the park, do you also say "it is the duty of the parents to take care of them"??? Or do you try to help or see what is going on? Of course it is the duty of the parents, nobody said the opposite. But sometimes you must show the courage to protect others, even if you are not the first instance to do this. And you might not care for children, but I do. Your problem, mine problem. You told it yourself, the game has a built-in chat. But there's also a way to turn it off if you can not face it. By the way, kids talk also this way nowadays and they explore every corners of internet even those they should not and are disgusting.. About kids needing protection.. Well there's much more kids needing help for more serious reasons all around the world than on our servers. So, if you really feel concerned and you're willing to help them, then don't hesitate and go there. Anyway, you expressed your opinion and we will take note of all this.. The "Special Problem" with etdo6 is that allies can plant on both at the same time and not even know it. One engie does not know what the other one is doing. I tell the players to not plant on either object until after 5 minutes have passed. I have to sit in spectator for the first 5 minutes of that map to make sure that no ally is sneaking in to plant. On one occasion, I was getting one engie to defuse his dyna, when another engie planted on the other object and an axis came in and killed the engie that I had convinced to defuse. Boom, map over. Don't forget that we have an international cast of players and some don't speak English and only learn by example, via !putteam & !splat, etc. Edited September 5, 2015 by RedBaird add oops!
