meow Posted July 7, 2015 Posted July 7, 2015 How is the KR calculated? I thought it used to be Kill/Death ratio...But it does not seem to be the case. I can go 45-2 and it won't even get a +0.001, yet if I get a K/D under my KR it usually goes down a little. Having the highest KR (around 6.4) on Hardcore, I'd like to keep it but it's been going down for a while now. Can't get it up anymore Zelly told me about killing people with higher KR to get a better KR, and killing low KR players doesnt give much/any KR. Is this right? Thanks. 3 Quote

It has never been like that since etpub. It is closer to chess Elo score - or rather it would be if it wasn't a crappy implementation (imho, sorry I have to say it). No disrespect meant, but lots of useless maths and papers, and they could have done it a bit better with a simpler formula. Zelly told me about killing people with higher KR to get a better KR, and killing low KR players doesnt give much/any KR. Is this right? you have to kill people with a higher kd and avoid being killed by people with low kd but as far as I remember from etpub, I think the more you play the slower it moves, till it gets to a point where it's hard to go up or down. If you are 'overrated' it can never go up, only down by the way. The only way not to lower it would be to stop playing 5 Quote
