Hello there ^_^

 

I'm so sad... I can't play since about 2 weeks because of my internet connection.

My provider is informed and gave me 10 €... wow... but I don't give a f... I want to play !

 

Did you ever have a similar problem : while you are playing, every minute, you can't play and a message "connexion interrupted" displays for about 10 seconds, and then it comes back normal.

 

My internet provider don't seem to understand anything about that and they consider it is not a big deal because it's just a game... I hate them :censored

Not a big deal to have stable internet connection... that you pay for?

 

Are they daft?

 

Are there any alternative providers around? If so, threaten to take business elsewhere ;)

I have that issue too, but since I'm kind of stealing wireless connection from my landlord I can't whine.

 

Tho I do whine. A lot.

Which websites are affected, or is this just an ET problem?

 

Could you run speedtest at www.speedtest.net, followed by 100 packet MTR test to fun1.clan-fa.com? (Tutorial here: http://fearless-assassins.com/tutorials/article/382-winmtr-checking-network-issues/)

 

At the very least, if we cannot solve your problem we can get the evidence to get your ISP to fix it (on their cost), rather then some stupid $10 monthly credit. My ISP tried that with me... grrr just fix the f--king line.

They just told me by email the problem is solved... I try and i come back :)

Crap... It doesn't work.

I told them I'll change ISP if it is not resolved in 2 days. I think they just have to change my router...

But... the thing is, I pay 4,90€/month for triple play so... I cannot find cheaper lol

Get line engineer to check the line from the street to your house - also show him the problem you have when he does this.

then get an engineer to check the line from exchange to street,

do winmtr trace route when you have the problem and see if it is drropping at your router.

 

ask them what they thought the problem was and why they thought it was solved,

ask your neighbour what isp they are using and if they have the same problems. (if you can)

Some time ago, i had an issue to , my network stop working, so i called my provider, and he told me that it might be the power adapter , and guess what , it was . I got a new one, and it works again .. Not sure if this is a help ,but give it a try

Also, if the first engineer you get doesn't solve the problem or noticeably improve your service and speed, request another one... we had one engineer come out who did about seven different things, all of which turned out to be extraneous and worthless.  The next guy we got tripled our internet speed and made game pings much, much better.  Sometimes it's just about having the right person on the job that day.  Good luck with it!!
