Dak Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 Just wanted to remind everyone ... ... sometimes BETTER LATE than NEVER ! It's not April YET and the Kings have SIX games remaining. Not seeing the same motivation this year and very soon it is TOO late. I suspect the LAK will be watching the play-offs on TV this year.....sorry buddy. Quote
von Rantala Posted March 31, 2015 Author Posted March 31, 2015 Toronto Situations is so sad, they have strong fan base, they have money, but why they cant win? I havent watch Toronto so i cant comment why they cant win, but in my mind was big error to fire Carlyle, he is Stanley Coach and team was in playoff spot when they fire him, he did all what he could do for team, that Toronto can be back in playoffs in next season they need two to three star player, one in center spot, Bozak is good center but more like second line center, they have leaders in group like Komarov and Robitaille, but the need one leader more in group, and 2-3 defender too. Goalie situations is great so you can try trade Reimer and try to get number one center or winger(s), plus ofcourse team need solid new GM and Coatch, who dont start rush things. 1 Quote
L3ftY. Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 yes, they should have kept carlyle. at least he had them working hard. but the biggest problem playing in toronto is the media. it is the mecca of hockey (so they say) and the scrutiny the press put on players, the 'in-your-face' microphones, the pressure is huge on the team and some can't handle it. at least they're leading scorer/sniper can't. but the team has zero leadership, no one for the younger players to look up to for guidance. that's the captains job, but he isn't a captain. should be traded by september, we can only hope. Olli Jokinen said it best when he was here for a couple of games before being traded - the locker room is depressing, it's like a morgue. Quote
meow Posted March 31, 2015 Posted March 31, 2015 I want the Flames and the Jets in the playoffs, so please Los Angeles...keep losing We've seen you enough ! BTW, who wants to join the playoffs hockey pool like we had last year? We give a ranking from 1 to 16 to the playoffs teams ("16" being the team we think will win the Stanley Cup, "1" being the worst team). Then the ranking is multiplied by points for every round the team wins. Need to find my Excel sheet for it, but I'm too lazy right now x] 1 Quote

Leo "Leksa" Komarav is huge leader, i think he should be next Captain of team, you cant always choose player who is best scorer to your captain spot, sometimes you should just choose players who are big leaders, i know Leksa well when i watched his career closely and a lot his games in national team and he was Captain in KHL once and have been Captain in Euro National tournaments too, usually he is very loved in lockerroom and he can light up team when needed, but i fear that Toronto will choose leader who is better in scorer area or who have been longer time in NHL. Leksa is player who can light up team with making important goal, tackle or fight or with example what he give or just talking to team. Btw who you want to see in Toronto from free agant group or/and from trade? Im interested to hear I want the Flames and the Jets in the playoffs, so please Los Angeles...keep losing We've seen you enough ! von Rantala Posted April 2, 2015 Author Posted April 2, 2015 Stars of the month http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=760970&navid=nhl:topheads Dubnyk is third star of month He becomes the only Wild player to be part of the NHL’s Monthly Three Stars twice in a season/career. He was also named the NHL First Star for February, NHL First Star of the Week (2/9 and 3/29), NHL Third Star of the week (2/2). http://wild.nhl.com/club/news.htm?id=760905&navid=DL|MIN|home Dubnyk Should be Vezina finalist too Quote
meow Posted April 2, 2015 Posted April 2, 2015 Dubnyk Should be Vezina finalist too Maybe. But as much as I hate Montreal...Price will win it. But, I would consider Dubnyk for the Hart trophy. Minnesota was going no where before he joined them. 1 Quote

Minnesota was going no where before he joined them. Yeah Price should win it, he have been best goalie. Yes true, Dubnyk should be Hart finalist too, then he could be first Wild player who is candidate to Hart Dubnyk surprise me, he havent bee huge surprise, as i say when he came to our team, that he never played in "good" team, team which is Stanley candidate, he always played in Edmonton what have been poor team when he played there, so i gave him chance when he came to our team, i gave him chance to win my heart and i was hopping that he make same as Bobrovsky in Columbus and he did that, now he is first goalie after Niittymäki who i really admire and love, but ofcourse no one will never come to be bigger or as big idol as Niittymäki, now i started to watch Niittymäki games again from season 2003-2004 from his first game to his last again (2010-2011). I dont remember how all games will end so i can again enjoy his games even that Niittymäki is retired already because injuries, ofcourse i remember his career and season overall stats, but not how all games ended. von Rantala Posted April 3, 2015 Author Posted April 3, 2015 (edited) Just watched Wild last night game against NYR, daam was so great game, its hurt a lot lose games like this one, but at least we know that we can win East best too we just to put puck in the net on those great scoring changes, there was at least 3-4 scoring chance what should have been go in, Dubnyk allowed couple easy goal and we lost that game because poor goalie play, and because Lundqvist play so great game in own goal, but Dubnyk won so many games to us that you cant be too harsh to him, every goalie play poor games too. But our boys fight in the last seconds that i was happy to see EDIT: Btw congratz to LAK Fan who team take last playoff spot now, you team have the easiest end of regular season coming when you play two time against EDM (one after last night game) one time against Colorado and San Jose and only Playoff teams who you team face is Calgary and Vancouver So its very possible that we see Kings in playoffs again, because now all is in your own hands after last night win. Yeah thanks as I said, it wasn't April YET ... for whatever the reason my Kings WAIT to TURN IT ON, but when they do ... WATCH OUT! ... love the GOALS listing ... " EVERYONE " lol Los Angeles’ playoff probability is back up to 71.8%, according to SportsClubStats.com. most likely, Kings will leap frog Calgary and finish 3rd in Pacific and play Vancouver in the 1st round, question will be who gets the last wild card ... Calgary or Winnipeg ? 2 Quote
