KooDari Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Hi guys. I have question about united state police cars. In finland where i live, police have only blue lights for emergency driving and they have red light for stopping cars. In united states the police have blue and red light or only red light. Whatnthey use for stopping a car? Quote
Xernicus Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 Usually both blue and red. However I have never seen a police offer in the US stop a car with only blue lights. I have seen only red lights however. I believe it depends on the violation. Quote
Owned Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 in the front grill of the car is a box, and so is there near the rear window i believe. those are for displaying a text that tells you to stop your vehicle. might not be exactly true but that is what i have seen when i was in USA and we have them in the Netherlands aswell like that. CSL Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 In the USA in varies by municipality. Before I moved to Israel I was a first responding EMT and my vehicle had red and white lights. Since then blue has been introduced for rear facing only LEDS for police and EMS. In Israel regular police are blue only, Highway Patrol and Military police red and blue, EMS and Fire department red only. Quote
Achiyan Posted April 5, 2014 Posted April 5, 2014 dont make this confusing. whatever lights they use, they all mean the same thing. if its flashing in front of you, slow down and prepare to stop. flashing behind you then slow down, move over, and if he/she is still behind you then pull over and stop.
