Chameleon Posted January 25, 2016 Posted January 25, 2016 This is more of a short story than just a quote, but just as important nonetheless. My grandfather told me once that "The reason relationships start out so good then begin to fail is because, in the beginning winning the person you are after is like winning a trophy in an event. You try with everything in you to win it, it's a race you refuse to lose. Once you have it, you put it up on a wall for everyone to see. You show it off to friends and family, nothing makes you more proud. But over time, you relish it less, it begins to gather dust and in time, you only look at it in passing. To keep your relationship from failing, and to be with the one whom you love for the rest of your life, you have to wake up every day and win that trophy. Never let it gather dust, remember what you had to do to win it, remember what it meant to win it, and win it again. It may seem like a lot of work, but if you truly loved it, then you love it now, just as much as the day you won it" Just thought that was some good advice 7 Quote
