Hey guys,

 

I have a problem with my keybinder. 

Thats my autoexec:

 

bind F4 vsay_team FTReviveTeamMate
bind F5 vsay_team FTCallArtillery
bind F6 vsay_team FTCallAirStrike

bind F8 vsay_team FTFallBack

So...
If I start an bind with server sounds, there will not be played the sound. There is just for example duke8, or speech9. I think, you know, that I will start the sound from this name. 
But how can I do this?
The rest from the binds are okay. Just the sounds make trouble. 
I hope and I am sure that it is so... somebody can help me.

Those should be written like this:
bind KP_INS vsay duke8 "^1Die for that [D]"
bind KP_PGDN vsay taunt11 "^6Are you [K] ?"
bind KP_5 vsay speech9 "^8 >>> Even the teams please! <<<"
 
These are vsays, not a text to use with the "say" command.  ;)

Okay.. its all okay with the keybinder..

BUT

When I type v05 to use p for pm, I can´t use it.

Playdead is now at "h". Must I do anything else, or why cant I do "p for pm" ?

So I guess you play on silent mod ( Beginners # 2): When playing, press Esc-> Silent -> Config -> Private message  (choose p )

Hm... It doesn´t work..

 

I had press Esc, than Silent Mod, but p was set for private message. I had bind it on another button.. but the same problem..

Than again to p... nothing happens.

I see, the mouse button flashed .. so like i could press with them something... but, the text window to write a pm or something doesn´t opened...

 

Another idea?

When you play on silent mod, open console and do /bindlist       Then  /condump bindlist.txt

Go to where you have installed Wolfenstein, in most cases:   C:\Program Files (x86)\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\silent

There you will find a textfile called bindlist. Upload that one here and upload your autoexec also, to get an overview of your binds. Perhaps there is an inconsistency ?

My bad. . . was going to reply but something always came across :(

I have no more idea's on how to help you out, check you post a while ago and couldn't find any inconsistencies, but I asked a bit around.

The suggestion I got back was that your autoexec could be damaged and that you need to unbind all the keys that are not working.

Then you should make a new cfg and put all those binds in them and use that cfg.

just p ist not working. That is the "funny" problem. All other binds are running great..
