Narbisaur Posted September 30, 2013 Posted September 30, 2013 There are a lot of players who can play 2 lines at once. It's just more common in the flamenco and gypsy tradition. THe guys who are really good at it study how piano players do it. In general, though, you're supposed to be thinking about the counterpoint between you and the bassist the whole time, so it should be interactive (in other words, no set bass line).
