Yea I don't understand why people still go for the 680 when the 670 is pretty much the same benchmark wise and cheaper. My MacPro also has 4 SSD's and 32GB of ram though and it's dual quad core. It runs great! I use to upgrade at least once a year when I had a PC, but since this MacPro (which I bought in march 2010) I haven't felt the need.
