Then you go one step lower and look at a gtx 670 which cost over 100 USD less and performs the same or right at most benchies.

Yea I don't understand why people still go for the 680 when the 670 is pretty much the same benchmark wise and cheaper. Hopefully I get enough money this month to get a 670, it would be a nice upgrade from my 560 ti :P

I'm using an ATI Radeon HD 5870 with FULL settings and it runs great.

My MacPro also has 4 SSD's and 32GB of ram though and it's dual quad core. It runs great!

I use to upgrade at least once a year when I had a PC, but since this MacPro (which I bought in march 2010) I haven't felt the need.

Unfortunately the HD 5870 is the fastest card they build for it at this time.

not macbook. a macpro. http://www.apple.com/macpro/

it's a pc with ios on it.

when you get good fast hardware like that, you don't need to upgrade for at least 5 years.

i built my pc and went with a cheaper video card, but i'm kind of glad i did.

now that the GTX 660 Ti was released, it's time to wait a few batches and save up to get it. $100 less than the 670 and runs pretty close to it.

-same difference

-you'll need to upgrade a macbook pro within 5 years, especially if you are gaming with it. Most I've gone with a macbook is a 3-4 years.

that card is useless, the 670 almost perform the same and is a lot cheaper

and then you got the 660ti which perform almost the same as the 670

So no reason to get 680 XD.

ow and that reference model cooler suck too, much better version on the market.
