Hey guys.. When I first played CoD I was getting 40FPS with default settings.. Thats fine for me, as long as its stable I dont care..

But recently (past 2 weeks) i have not been able to play.. I've been having a MAXIMUM of 16FPS.. Dropping to 8FPS.. Totally unstable.. I dont get whats changed, but I really need to fix it..

I have put all the options to the lowest possible settings in the options menu, and it literally makes NO difference..

Are there any config tweaks I can make? Nvidia drivers etc are all up to date.

Thanks for any help,

Chuck

Yikes, that sucks. I dont know crud about config but I did remember that sparklepony had a topic about confige modification a few months ago. Maybe you can find that and see if theres anything there that will help.

Alex is going to let me try her config. I'll let you guys know how that works out for me :)

EDIT: My FPS is actually higher than it has been (with my normal config) - @ 26FPS

Using Alex's ultra-low graphic config, I was back @ 16FPS.. No idea what the hell is going on..

Remove that update you did, maybe that would make it back to normal?

Try setting to native screen resolution? also I was told cl_maxppm 2 or something like that. cl_maxpackets 100 bla bla bla lol.

Nope.. I updated my drivers a while back but I'm not sure it actually coincides with that..

Sounds like it might be doing what my old computer did when it was overheating, didn't matter what I set it at my frame rate would go from 48 to below 10, have you dusted recently?

The reason i asked is because i had the same issue but on AMD, the setting were not on their default settings which caused huge FPS dips. Thought it might be a similar case.

Shouldn't be that, this laptop is 6 months old.. And runs cool as a cucumber.. But there's no harm in me giving it an early clean :)

I'll snoop around my Nvidia settings and see if there is anything abnormal..

EDIT: LOL what the actual f.. Looks like the Nvidia's auto-selection determined that my integrated graphics was the better option over the GT525M card. o.O Thanks Nvidia! I'm now getting 70FPS stable.

this is literally the best high fps config you can get.

I would suggest you to take a look at it to make sure it has no unwanted binds or cvars tough.

Suposed to get a 52 fps at low settings to 200fps

Yitch cfg is fine, I've posted on here under low fps users topic I made with a modified version of his old one. It is what I use and several members.

cfg is fine but you never know when you download a modified version of it.
