parrot Posted April 5, 2012 Posted April 5, 2012 My daughter's computer (my old one) is a pos dell celeron single core at 2.6, integrated graphics. Will a cheap 50 dollar g-card be enough to run Wolfie, or do I need to build her a new computer? Also, the old computer has all of 1 mb ram, running xp. Quote
ajnl Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I hope you mean 1 GB RAM. And for W:et, i'm sure it'll run fine. Quote
Frick Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I ran wolfet years ago on an nvidia 128meg AGP card just fine.. but never anything PCI Quote
Clan Friend SunLight Posted April 6, 2012 Clan Friend Posted April 6, 2012 with my old celeron 2.7ghz I ran et faster than I run it now... enough said... I even got 333fps in tj maps Quote

Clan Friend SunLight Posted April 6, 2012 Clan Friend Posted April 6, 2012 old celeron = which series u had? Just curious.. Northwood I think, it was socket 478, with an ati card trickjump (gammajump) maps are often without many details, in normal maps it was still more than playable, but at the time I never played in servers with more than 16 slots... Chuckun Posted April 6, 2012 Posted April 6, 2012 I used to run et without a graphics card.. Just a 2.8 celeron :-) Quote
parrot Posted April 9, 2012 Author Posted April 9, 2012 i ran it on a p4 2.4 for a while back in 2004-5 with integrated graphics and an old trackball mouse that kept getting stuck...but my daughter needs all the help she can get with this game Quote
Chuckun Posted April 9, 2012 Posted April 9, 2012 Well then the answer is yes, a cheap card will probably give you stable 50FPS or something providing you dont use insanely high graphics settings.. Quote
