KevinBacon Posted January 9, 2012 Posted January 9, 2012 Being able to walk through this place after spending months and months helping with designing, managing, drafting, and writing coding for the machines that made every piece of it. Felt like the culmination of something much greater than yourself. 1 Quote

Popular Post docwarren Posted January 9, 2012 Popular Post Posted January 9, 2012 Grew up in poverty. Dirt poor. Damn near homeless if it wasn't for the banker who was nice enough not to throw my parent out of the house. I guess making it out of there and putting myself through nursing school while working full time to get to where I am now. How poor? Hundreds of examples, but one sticks out. We didn't get new clothes at the beginning of the school year. We got new clothes, not toys, as Christmas presents. Every year, my mom sends me a wrapped pair of socks. Kind of to remind me of where I came from. It's a joy for me to be able to give my kids the Christmases (and childhood) I was never able to have. 10 Quote
