Anyway, since lack of screen space (only 1 24" screen, 1920x1200), I used my TV (37", 1920x1080) for some papers I have to write (left: new, I work on, right: old, on main screen I type. LaTeX FTW!). Usually the TV contains ofcourse porn, eh, nature movies, erhm, hardcore action movies, ..., intellectual TV-programs. The rest of the desk has a lot of paper which I had to review, books I use in my education (the blue one is very good, the one below is written by a teacher of me, under that is a way to expensive book which looks like it's printed in the '70) and much more random stuff. Hard at work. Windows (left) and Linux (right). Linux hard at work, I have to run some tests tonight on another linux computer and I'm still developing. Windows also hard at work, because only Windows is connected to both screens so I ssh to my linux computer (which are the command prompts ) Closeup of Linux, Intel E2180 @ 2GHz, 2GB memory, 8500GT (my 9800GT died), 80GB Intel X25-M SSD. Assembled myself ofcourse. Usually closed due to the airflow. Closeup of Windows 7, Intel E8400 @ 3GHz, 6GB memory, 9800GT passive (yes, the other 9800GT died ), 80GB Intel X25-M SSD, recently an old 750GB installed when I needed to download a lot for my sister. A little bit more dirty. Also assembled myself ofcourse, and also usually closed. Yes, these looks quite like the Linux. The advantage is that when something breaks down, I can easily find out what it is and fix it (as I did with the died 9800GT). And I also have laptop ofcourse, especially taken out of my bag for picture. Never cleaned in it's 3.5 years of existence Windows XP, Intel U7600 @ 1.2GHz (but dual core!), 2GB memory, onchip graphics, awesomely slow 60GB HDD. I avoid using it actually. It's quite nice, but too slow for anything else than writing documents and ssh. Of course, my desk has seen better times Quote

TulsaGeoff Posted June 2, 2011 Posted June 2, 2011 omg alexandra u really own with ur alienware, but u should be beware of tulsa geoff's pc. wow tulsa u got 1000 watt psu and water cooler system!! may i ask wat gfx card u got? That was a 285gtx. Did an EVGA RMA since the card was starting to fail and crash after 2 years or so then I received a 295gtx for free. That card failed and I bought a 570GTX. I sent in the 295gtx and received a 480GTX from EVGA. Right now both are in the PC doing Folding@Home. I plan on selling the 480GTX for about $300 on eBay soon. Rex, It's not supercharged but it is water cooled and my chip has a turbo like all new intel i5's and i7's Quote
