Platinum VIP Aft3rmath Posted February 10, 2011 Platinum VIP Posted February 10, 2011 I've had moonshine twice, thought it was delicious. I'm still around to talk about it haha. Quote

Platinum VIP Aft3rmath Posted February 10, 2011 Platinum VIP Posted February 10, 2011 It certainly has that effect. Quote
RoosterCogburn Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 I had some corn whiskey one time and it literally peeled some of the lining in my mouth off. I rubbed a finger on the inside and it just peeled right off, was gross. Quote
AntiThought Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 I am going to have to say neither one. I drink both beer and hard liquor but I have a special place for a good mead. Quote
AntiThought Posted February 10, 2011 Posted February 10, 2011 I want to try moonshine now just to test that diein theory. If you do try moonshine, before you buy, put some in a cap or spoon and light it on fire. If it burns red even the slightest bit do not buy and especially do not drink it. Remember with moonshine Red=Dead.... a red flame means it has lead in it. Be suspicious if it burns yellow. Preferably it should burn blue. If it does not burn do not buy it... no fire means there is too little alcohol and it may be contaminated. If it burns clear it is pure methanol and thus poison. No matter what the burn color only buy from a trusted source as some people will cut their moonshine with methanol which can make you blind then dead (methanol cut alcohol does not change the burn color of the rest of the alcohol). Also ensure that they are not using an old radiator as a condenser coil as they can be contaminated with lead and glycols (antifreezes). Quote
Duckie Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 I'd take a nice Heinekan with some rum or vodka on the side any day Quote

Anti your comment provides an exceptional warning to drinking moonshine in general. I'll just stick to beer from a nice, safe ATF-regulated factory lol. Quote
KevinBacon Posted February 11, 2011 Posted February 11, 2011 + and throw in your sister for good measure. Quote
