It might be based on PNG format? paint.net is great for 2d graphics when you wanna draw in layers. there is also gimp out there which is more popular, but for most 2d graphics this is a "easier" alternativ. for most people GIMP is just overkill, and also it´s a bit tricky to learn, since it´s not as selfexplanatory as paint.net is. but a pdn is a pdn, a paint-dot-net file. they have their own filetypo. it´s the project file of the layered graphics. unrelated to png. 2 Quote
