AUTOKILL
Hi! been getting dropped from server in game for a bit now, checked my connection it's good, is there a rogue admin (s) kicking/banning people? I was supporting forward operations today when I got dropped then the server (again) and it doesn't come up on the list for some time. I didn't do anything against policy. AUTOKILL If you were on today trying to play when the server was full it might auto kick you if you sit in spec too long. When it’s 27 vs 27 and you go to the limbo menu it kicks you to spec and it might have immediately kicked you for “being inactive”. If admin kicks you on Jaymod you will get a message saying you were kicked with a reason. 1 1
AUTOKILL
Hi! Thanks for the info. Nope, I was on the front line. I get the spectator thing, better to auto-kick specs anyways every 5 minutes or so. It seems like if you kill too well, there's a kick for that too, not sure about all the other semi-ban events I've seen over the past month. Could that be what happend? One thing sure is there is no kick for killing too well haha. If that is not what is happening , can you make us a demo? We will be able to analyse what s going on and what is wrong. 18 minutes ago, AUTOKILL said: ,not sure about all the other semi-ban events I've seen over the past month. AUTOKILL Can you explain what you mean by "semi ban events" ? I would like to understand that too. Thank you E. 1

If somebody then takes my slot, and makes the teams 27 x 27 again, then I cannot "!put" myself back onto the team. 😄 ACK! ADDED: That "27 x 27 teams limit" is only on Jay#1 Recruiting. If you play on Silent#1, you might get dropped from spectators when the server is full. I don't know if that "Limbo effect" works there or not. Admins who have not become ShoutCasters get dropped from spec, too. 😮 That does not happen on the Jays. AUTOKILL
Hi all! Been seeing a forced disconnect from the server, then afterwards the server doesn't come up in the search for the game for a bit, it seems to vary, but 1hr to many. Just wondering what is going on? Usually it's when our team is kicking ass and the tide is turning - then bam! I'm out for at least an hour or more. Dropping packs is activity, but still getting kicked for it, not to specs but off the server, not as many people drop packs as the servers I'm used to, and the BAWTS get in the line of fire when you ask for ammo. Hence the title of the thread. AUTOKILL Edited Sunday at 09:49 AM by AUTOKILL

A kick or a ban should not affect the server-browser built into ET. 33 minutes ago, AUTOKILL said: I'm out for at least an hour or more. That sounds more like a connection problem. If you are banned, then the server should show you a notification when you try to join again. 2

boki
This looks to me like your router is restarting itself or your WiFi connection is dropping. Another reason could be connection restart (happens daily at least once for most ISP customers). Every time this happens, if you stay in the game, you will not be able to connect to the last server you were connected to, for a while. You will be able to connect to other servers just fine. To mitigate this re-connection problem, quit the game immediately after you drop out. You should be able to normally connect to the server again on the next attempt. You can do the following to check if the connection is possibly dropping while you are in the game session: Open a command or power-shell console in Windows (or equivalent on Linux) and type the following command ping jay1.clan-fa.com -n 36000 then hit the enter key to execute the command. This will continuously ping the jay1 server for 10 hours. Note: you can quit this anytime by pressing the CTRL+C keys or simply close the window. Start the pinging process and start the game and play. As soon you get dropped out of the server, quit the game and look into the pinging process windows. If you see anything similar to 'network destination could not be reached', or 'network destination timed out' this means the connection dropped. Also, feel free to contact me when you see me on Jay1, I can help you with all this, if you need anything.
