Popular Post Gameplan Posted May 30, 2021 Popular Post Posted May 30, 2021 (edited) Today, we celebrate my youngest daughter's High School Graduation. Our family is very excited and have been honoring her accomplishment all week, with signs, dinners and today's ceremony. While her every day, every accomplishment and every picture we took along the way gives us pause and emotions rise up, it makes me think of another relationship. Back in 2003 we welcomed her to the world. The next morning, after being in the hospital all night, I went home to pick up a few things. Grabbed everything and paused a moment...do I have a few minutes to play a couple of maps? Of course I do! Got online, played a couple of maps and went back to the hospital. Wife asked what took so long to which I responded, I played 'my game.' That's what we've called it over the years. ET has been part of my family, work, life balance for a long time. Sometimes ET won, but most of the time the family and work did. I don't play everyday like I used to, my wrist hurts, it's not quite as fun as it used to be and so many friends have left. But I don't know if something I've done this long will ever be gone forever. Here's to 17+ years of ET, friendships and FAmily (few less years)! And here's to my daughter's HS graduation! On to college and the rest of her life! Edited May 30, 2021 by Gameplan 9 6 2 Quote
