Main reason for accuracy drop is fps difference in the servers. Jay1 is heavy populated and doesnt have bots by than. All those people together on one map is just lagyy, fps goes down and so on. That gives a accuracy drop. Jay2 has less players and almost always bots, which means it will be more stable.

 

last time i checked i did 50-55% on Jay2 and 43-50% at jay1.

Not true, dude. I get the same FPS in both servers. 125 steady. ROCK steady

I know, I wasn't trying to imply that the existence of adren was the secret ingredient :) There can be many different reasons there is a difference, the most notable ones are already expressed here and frankly, I can't tell which of these is the real cause. It will just need to be investigated.

You do the honors :P I believe it's something related to jaymod code based on players and other things. 

 

The only thing different was  - jay1 didn't had ability to carry out skills to other classes i.e. construct and explosives. Now jay1 and jay2 both are same.  It was done so that non medic players get advantage.

mostly all stock - jaymod doesn’t have much option to fiddle with.

ET Admin mod had a bunch but I think everyone mostly stopped using that years ago, yes?

Sorry to be the guy that revives a dead thread from months ago but I've just stumbled across this topic and haven't seen the reason for this posted yet.

 

 

I think the reason the damage is much less on Jay2 for explosives is because of g_skills

I really like the way Jay2 is right now with explosion damage but if people want it changing that's fine by me, we can always change it back if it doesn't work out.

 

 

As for why people's accuracy on Jay2 is higher, I really have no clue. I've found this to be true myself but I'm playing on a high end PC so FPS drops are not the issue here. Maybe it's just the amount of players on Jay1 putting a strain on the server, I don't know.

Maybe we should leave it the way it is :)

Leave Jay 2 as it is. It's just better, BUT, I agree with the quoted statement. My acc is much better on Jay 2, Jay 3 and HC than on Jay 1 when it's full. When Jay 1 has >25 people, my acc is better, also. Last night I was on and it was about 26 people, 13v13 and my KDR was MUCH higher than normal, when it's 40+ players, and that's how it usually goes
