Sunlight, if you want to play sometime, I can show ya. Haha. It is def like 2-3 shots on the server. Basically makes it instant gib if someone chooses to gib after a kill. -

In regards to fast gib, I am not talking about knifing from behind. It only takes like 2-3 shots to gib in our SW server. It would be nice to have it act more like an etpro server instead of a silent server, imo, and give meds a chance to revive. As I mentioned before, the team damage thing is an issue with better players as none of them will be used to using needle to revive (hence why I have received complaints about being kicked for team dmg ). As Maluco said too, it is much easier to drop someone who is running away and then revive them then waste time trying to catch up to them. Just some food for thought but I guess, the closer we can get this server to an etpro server, the better. -
The server is very good but I think needs two more tweaks. The first being the gib time. People are gibbed basically instantly which doesnt promote revives. The server would greatly benefit if the gib was set back to default. The second tweak is the kick for team damage. I understand the reasoning behind it but the fact of the matter is that good players are being kicked for kill revives. As long as there is an admin on the server I feel that they can kick/ban when someone is teamdamaging on purpose. If there is no admin, it won't be pretty but I also feel that the majority of the people who play on the server understand the rules and don't cause any trouble. thanks!

Hi Vain, Just throwing this out there and if you did this already tell me to GTFO (as you specifically said don't suggest such things, haha) but when you reinstalled Windows and ET, did you bring your old etmain folder back in? If so, maybe try just keeping your cfg and essentials and do a clean install of ET.

I would just turn off the dl and try to connect! See what it needs, it will tell you. I don't play there so don't know what the map rotation is, sorry. Edit, check out game tracker (on left side of FA homescreen you can click on the ET servers). Click on the NQ server you go to and on the right it lists most popular maps, so start with dl those.

Using the game normally, try turning off your downloads. Servers try to install lots of things you don't need and maybe just download the things you do need on your own (as you did with NQ).

Wow Quo, I just saw this! Well let me start by saying congrats on your manager promotion! Sorry to see that you are resigning esp since I was just accepted (I didn't understand what you meant this morning about me replacing you but it makes sense now haha). You better still come on xfire and play in the servers though, I like playing with you and will be very disappointed if that were to go away.

Actually this isn't entirely correct lucky. You are correct in what your eyes perceive, but the different fps rates affect how far you jump and whatnot. The higher the fps the easier trickjumping is http://www.enemy-territory.net/trickjumping.html

To get to know the maps better, I would read up on the objectives because even is everyone is fragging, fighting is happening around key areas on the map. When I first started, I couldn't hit anyone so started out with rnade. It helped me a lot with learning how corners, and distance works (rnading from far distances). Just be careful not to hit teammates with it if you are on a server with ff. If you want, I will be on tomorrow afternoon (est). I would be more than willing to show you around a few maps and explain what is going on. Haha. This game is the best team based/class based fps I have ever played and once you understand who does what when, the rest will come much easier. LOL, how can you rush Venice? Whenever I play it, it is pretty hard for allies to beat the map quickly. Too many good camping spots for axis. Do you guys just do NOTHING to defend? -
I posted a few sites where you can download cfgs (use search, and search my name and cfg). From there you can set your resolution, fps etc. I would just try a few and see what you like! BTW, depending on your internet connections, you can pull more than 120fps. I have similar comp specs and can pull 333 all day everyday.
