  1. File Name: Mouse Accel Fix Pack Windows XP SP3 File Submitter: Cr!TicaL File Submitted: 05 Jan 2012 File Category: Software I'm including in the package a Windows Acceleration Fix remover for Windows XP Just Open the file mouse_fix.reg and get ride of that annoying mouse negative acceleration Tired of players that reacts faster than you? If you don't own a gaming mouse and you would like to improve your mouse response then you can Increase the polling rate Before using it i would like to point out something , every overclock has its risks. so the risks associated with changing your USB polling rate above 125hz are: Increased CPU usage Hardware failures(usually motherboard) Your computer may become unstable Myself have used it for over 2 years in different computers (hardware) and never had an issue. Trust me it helps. Anyways I do recommend to change it to 500hz max cause the difference between 1000hz and 500hz is just 1ms and You shouldn't overload the device. Note: The Mouse Polling Rate Forcer only works on Windows XP Click here to download this file
  2. Hello, Welcome to the forums !
  3. It's all about your resolution , Some people says that having blurred textures it makes you see the enemy better, FPS gaining? I have tested it on a 8800GTX Back in the day and had a noticeable FPS boost. I'd rather having stable FPS and smoothness than quality and rusty gameplay.

  5. There's no way that your computer wouldn't run ET smooth. try changing the max fps to 125. i used to get lag whenever i uncapped them . and also you should follow the advice of running ET with just 1 core which is enough. Make sure that you have no anti-viruses /firewall interrupting. If it didn't work then let's believe that it's PB related. try the following cvars: pb_security 0 pb_sleep 500 pb_system 0 Some times you get fps drops caused by interruptions on your sound card, remember that ET is really old and there's a chance that the sound filters aren't the most optimal for new age sound cards. If it's the case then the following cvars should make a difference. s_mixPreStep "0.05" s_mixahead "0.2" s_doppler "1" s_separation "0.5" If it didn't help either then let me ask you, did you copy paste that ET installation? If so there's an issue, whenever a profile is created an ET cfg is also created on each folder which includes everything related to your gaming interface /connection/ hardware, many times FPS drops are caused due to a command called r_lastvalidrender which sets the GPU that you were using when you created the profile. So delete all the profiles in your ET installation and try again.

  7. You could modify it a bit to make it to work on your lap, for example chaging the cvars on Config/video.cfg Change r_picmip value to "3" Change r_subdivisions to "20" // If you play on jaymod you can set it to 999 and it will get you more fps The resolution is set to 1024x768 on that cfg , you can try and lower it by changing r_mode to "4" for 800x600 or "3" for 640x480 . Also there are some Extreme tweaks for really low end computers, but i only recommend to use them if you really cant get over 40 fps which is unplayable r_colorbits 16 r_depthbits 16 r_fastsky 1 r_lodbias 2 r_lodCurveError 60 r_roundImagesDown 1 r_simpleMipMaps 0 seta r_texturebits 16 seta s_bits 8 seta s_channels 2 seta s_doppler 0 seta s_khz 22 seta s_mixahead 0.1

Im a Horror movies lover... I watched it a couple days ago and i kinda enjoyed the plot , the movie had some random "ghost busters" wanna be scenes lol .. also de suspense was the good , i hated the interpretation of the "devil" looked like a cheap monster, but over all it was decent ..
