-Teabag- Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 What was the best movie made in 2011 ? Quote
RetroLeaves Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 For me, it's a toss-up between Sucker Punch and Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows, part 2. Quote
darkfang77 Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 HP & SP are both derps of 2011, both bad films. Imo, JE: Reborn was pretty good for a laugh. Transformers was marginal, but the King's Speech was quite refreshing. Quote

Very entertaining, plus one had Vanessa Hudgens, which instantly makes it a good movie I also liked Transformers but I think part 2 is better. Also, Moneyball. Great sports movie. Quote

OK OK, I'll be honest, the first time I saw SP was on a plane, I liked it a little, but its not a movie which is artistic in any way, its just a mindless incoherent chick flick which tries very hard to keep the people watching by spamming fantical psycho- scenes with lots of gunfire, etc. The ending didn't make sense, and there was little attempt to structure the episodes with what was actually happening. HP was a definite no-no, since I watched the first film 6 years ago, I feel like I am gradually getting colour blind, they might as well have filmed the last one in B&W for all the vibrant HD technology they used in it, they might've actually passed off a vintage look. The HP books have been gradually getting larger through the series, but JK hasn't taken any experience from the previous books and integrate it into the new ones. Its the same woody attitude: "Oh Harry." Said Hermione. "I am going to lesson now. Ha ha. Bye bye." There's no finesse in any of them. But its still a great book for getting 10 y/os into reading imo. Panini*Hobbit@mp3 Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 I've watched a lot of movies from this year but can't pick a favourite I enjoyed the following ones though: The Guard, Idles of March, The Inbetweeners Movie, In Time, 50/50, 11-11-11, Rango, Unknown. Quote

*Sypher* Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 For me Fast and the Furius 5 was the best movie, though I enjoined Hangover II en Johnny English reborn a lot too. Quote

RoosterCogburn Posted January 18, 2012 Posted January 18, 2012 I thought 50/50 and Moneyball were the best. Quote
