Hi everyone, I have been trying to connect to the server(s) multiple times, however it always tell me the followings: download failure while getting: http:\\redirect.dediserverhosting.com\silent\zz_silent90-0.7b.pk3 Also tell me that other 3 pk3s are missing. I have deleted those files, nothing. I have reinstalled from Steam, from ETLegacy, from the official website, always the same issue. What can I do? I am a player from 2005's era, used to play this game like crazy. Would be nice to get back to it. Thanks in advance!

Hello im a big fan of the COD comunity and the last day i've tryed to install again after a long time the COD4, i knewed that i had to change some files of it, like the PunkBuster and the servercache.dat . The problem comes out when i try to join the server that i was used to play, fearless, and i appear alone in the map, and with a missage in the bottom of the screen, what should i do? i've tryed reinstalling the game, restarting the game files, everything :C.

Hola, everybody! I'm having some troubles when i want to write something on the main, team, or fireteam chat, and also in the console. The thing is that when i try to write specific characters, like symbols, exclamation or question symbols, etc... they seem to be messed up, and it becomes so difficult to write correctly. Either commands in console, or chatting with other players. After a few minutes gaming, it goes messy, and the only thing i can do is reboot ET if i want it to get working normally. For example, "?" and "_" are replaced by each other. When i press "?", it appears "_". And viceverse. Shana has been gently trying to help me to solve and check either in ET and in Windows, and we think that it is surely a problem related with ET language, and my Windows system language, but we didnt find any further clue or solution. I am spanish, so my systm language is set in spanish. In fact, i've set my system language to english, at the time i was writing this topic, and the same messy thing showed up here. Same keys are messed, as it happens in ET. When i set it back to spanish, all works normally in Windows. Does anyone have any advice or toughts about what's happening, and more important... how to solve this annyoing thing? Thanks in advance. Greetz, AcK -
...ello =) so since 2 days i notice that i have a weird issue while playing. my et is limiting my fps to 60fps (i can see on screen, that it wants more fps but just dont get up). at the same time, my mouse feels like freezed a bit. this issue comes from time to time and is gone after mostly a minute again. another weird thing is, that as soon as im opening a website while playing, i have big lag spikes. if there is activity on this website e.g. getting message on facebook, i got lags how can this be, i assume it's about hunkmegs, but i have more than enough RAM for this tiny game. Thanks for support. cookie for ur help! I'll can upload my cfg later, afaik i also made a demo and screenshot while it was happening. cheers Saskia edit: i tweaked my cfg a bit the last days so my ping becomes bit better, this actually worked out (now on silent ~100, before i had 130) dunno if its important.

hello everyone. I was wondering if the silent server is down again. it wont let m connect at all. it tells me awaiting connection and the timer keeps going up. this happended last time the server went down so I'm just wondering. please let me know if it did go down. thank you

Just wanted to post a fresh topic pertaining to the status of COD4 #3 and any lag issues, or re-boot requests. I may be way off as to doing such here. But, since I couldn't readily/easily find a place to report the current lag on the Beginners server, I thought I'd add a topic for the next guy to find and add-on to... 7/29/15 @7pm lag with constant connection interruptions, may need a server reboot I leave for a trip tomorrow, so I'll see yall on Monday ...

A short intro: Some time ago I couldn't conenct to NQ#2 and ET kept sayint that it "couldn't load an official pak file; verify your installation and make sure it has been updated to the latest version." Today I've figured out that there are still some people who have the same issue. After a brief discussion with some of FA members I was told that it would be reasonable enough to make a topic which would describe how to fix this issue. So... Briefly: Step 1: Re-install ET. Step 2: Patch it to version 2.60. Step 3: Patch it to version 2.60b. In detail: Step 1: Uninstall your ET. I have used manual removing, so I was sre that all the needed files (such as -.cfg and map -.pk3 files) will be saved for sure. Also it is good to make an extra backup, provided you have enough space on your hard drive. Step 2: Install ET again. It will automatically install a version 2.55 to your computer. Step 3: Patch to version 2.60. It's important to patch your ET step by step, because pach 2.60 contains the needed pak file, and you won't be able to use patch 2.60 after you have patched ET to vesrion 2.60b. Patch 2.60 is an .exe file, so you just have to run it and follow simple instructions. Step 4: Patch to version 2.60b. The only thing you need to do is to replace your ET.exe file with the one, which you have downloaded with patch. (See the link above.) Step 5 (optional): Place your backup files into correct folders, provided you made a backup and your essential files weren't saved after you have re-installed your ET. Step 6: Run your ET and enjoy. I'm not sure if it is something on my end or xfire's. I created an xfire and verified it, After that I downloaded the Blackfire client (I'm a mac user) and tried to login. It would say it was connecting and after a long time it just goes back to the type in username and password screen. Any help?

Hi everybody!! With my previous pc I have already got an issue of compatibility between ET/xfire and issuing a typo bug with my keyboard in my ET consol.. Since I got a new pc I thought I would not get any issues again but seems I was wrong.. So, now, my prob is this one.. When I start ET in first and before my xfire there's no prob but since I wanted to be logged on xfire at same time than I log on windows it's pretty annoying.. Because when I run xfire before ET, I get a plenty of bugs like nothing shown on the board of players or a view bugged, like this one: So my question is simple.. Has someone any clue of what happens and how to fix this.. I know i could start ET first and log on xfire after but since I'm always first on forum before ET but want to be contactable even when I'm on forum in case of needed it's really annoying.. And later it could also result other bugs, so..
