other Unboxing: MSI GT70 2PC Dominator Notebook

Sup. I did an Unboxing for Sin's new toy. First half of the video is the day of. A small section of FPS reading from Tomb Raider. The last half is the next day when I got a better chance to check it out. And yeah I totally notice I grab my crotch a lot. The hell, man? Edit: Preamble for like 10 mins. After 11 mins the Unboxing starts. Price: $1450-$1600 USD Pros: Plays latest games flawlessly, great keyboard, large clear screen, fast processor, very good sound, two year factory warranty, great value for the price. Cons: Heavy as balls. Apparently battery life is poor. (Then again it's a gaming laptop so, expected, to me.) Noisy fan/cooler booster. http://www.msi.com/product/nb/GT70-2PC-Dominator.html#hero-overview http://www.trustedreviews.com/msi-gt70-2pc-dominator_Laptop_review -
Hey everyone! Day 15 of my adventure, it's been awhile since I've posted, so I guess the "daily post" is invalid. Anyway, if you're like me, you spend most of your money on protein bars and Mountain Dew. You're probably not like me, though. But if you're tight on money and still looking for a decent gaming computer that will run ANY game on at least low graphics, try this build out. (This is going to be my future build, so I don't know how well it ACTUALLY works, but I've seen review for all of the parts) CPU AMD FX 4300 RAM G. Skill(1X4GB) 1600 GPU SAPPHIRE Radeon R7 280X 2GB MTHRBRD ASUS M5A78L-M HDD Western Digital WD Blue 1TB CASE NZXT Source 210 PSU Corsair CX 500 This is a base build, by the way. You can change whatever you'd like. For instance, I already know I'm swapping out the 1TB HDD for a 500GB, and swapping 4GB of RAM for 8GB. Play around with it and tell me what you guys think! ~Mr. Grimm, The Grimm Train

Finally some news about the ddr4 rams, been waiting for this for a long time. We already sawG.Skills Ripjaws 4 modules listed on OCUK a couple of days ago, but now G.Skill has officially made the announcement, detailing all of the specifications and kit configurations. The DDR4 modules are meant to be used with the upcoming X99 platform and Haswell-E processors and will run at 1.2 V for those operating at or under 2800 MHz, while those operating at 3000 MHz or higher will run at 1.35 V. Officially, 1.35 V is outside of the DDR4 specifications, but anyone running memory at these speeds won't be too concerned with the extra power consumption. G.Skill's Ripjaws 4 modules will be available in frequencies ranging from 2133 MHz through 3200 MHz. They come with CL15 or CL16 timings, and DIMMs will be available in 4 GB and 8 GB variants. Mind you, you won't be able to buy individual DIMMs; kits will be available with capacities of 16 GB, 32 GB, and 64 GB, although some higher-frequency memory won't have all the kit options. The 16 GB kits will consist of four 4 GB modules, the 32 GB kits of either eight 4 GB modules or four 8 GB modules, and the 64 GB kit will come with eight 8 GB modules. All of the kits should be available with red, black, and blue heatspreaders. No word on pricing or availability yet, though we do expect the entire platform, which includes the X99 motherboards and the Haswell-E CPUs, to hit shelves on August 29. this is my setup right now i have the laptop hooked up to the monitor through a HDMI, the laptop is surprisingly not to shabby i played through Bioshock Infinite on medium high settings and was running 30 FPS and occasionally would drop down to 24 in some areas. resolution (1366x768) I don't think i could get the 30 FPS with my monitor i have now its full 1080p resolution. i recently bought the monitor and keyboard, i will be buying the rest of the components to build a PC soon its going to have a i5 3.4 GHz quad core that boost to 3.8 LGA1155 Nvidia 660Ti WD 1 Tb HD 600 watt power supply 2 x 4 Gb G.skill ram sticks NZXT guardian tower Gigabyte Motherboard LGA1155 socket So that is what my computer will have in it my brother has built a few PC's and will be helping me get this bad boy put together!
