  1. This is my processor. Do you think it could be causing me issues with ET running smoothly? AMD FX(tm)-8350 Eight-Core Processor 4.01 GHz
  2. Did you see any upgrade? I never had anything but I bought a 3060ti thinking that I would finally be able to play ET with a high framerate. I still sometimes only get 60-70 frames on some maps. I suppose my processor is the bottleneck now.
  3. Right click on your icon that starts the game and choose "Run as administrator". That should solve it.
  4. I'm no expert on these but try r_primitives 2, r_swapinterval 0, and I think if you set r_displayrefresh to 0 it will be unlimited or something.
  5. I've also listened for quite a few years. They have interesting topics and claims from guests and callers. I wish they had proof though.
  6. Finally got the driver updated and showing correctly. I removed/deleted everything again, and redownloaded the package from AMD's site. It installed as usual. I found the installation folder and clicked the setup icon and it went ahead and installed the latest driver and Catalyst Control Center. Any recommended settings to change in there for Enemy Territory?
  7. Just removed old driver, and went back to AMD site to get the latest. This is the link and I chose the first one listed: http://support.amd.com/en-us/download/desktop?os=Windows%207%20-%2032 It installed but my device manager still shows it outdated. I tried posting a picture but it says I'm not allowed to use that image extension.
  8. Ok I'll check later when I get home. I don't have the full package of Catalyst Control Center. I read somewhere that it wasn't necessary. I'll probably go ahead and install it though.
  9. I've been having problems too. It drove me to reformat and start over. I have an AMD HD 6850 card. I let Windows check for drivers and download them. When I check the driver in device manager, it says it's from 2011 and the version is 8.850.00 (or something like that, not at computer right now). Anyway, I removed that driver and went to AMD website and downloaded the latest. It seems to install properly and my card shows in device manager. I check the driver again and it still says it's from 2011 with the same 8.850.00 version, but the driver I downloaded says it's 14.12 or something like that. Shouldn't I see the 14.12 in device manager?
  10. Where were yall headed to in Arkansas? Do you live there now?

    True or False?

Elvis Presley is related to me. True but barely. He is my uncle's 2nd cousin on his mom's side. I'm supposed to be kin to him too. Not sure how exactly, but it's from my grandmother's ties to Tupelo.
  12. Yeah hope it's better than part three and rated R

  16. Check out Apophis......
  17. Good points on the arty and heavy weapons. I quit playing at my previous clan's server because the arty was so overwhelming. As usual I was always engie really trying to complete objectives, but there would be sometimes two field ops at a time spamming the tank or something. As soon as they would spawn they could call in Lametillery. We all played for fun, but FFS the map never moved. I finally got fed up and quit playing there and found Jay2 where it's not much chaos. Anyhow, our superrambostopmidbattletorunandselfhealgoobers were capped at 115 hp like everyone else.
  18. I understand Billy's perspective as well as the counter-argument. It can be frustrating to get owned by the supermeds over and over, but everybody is here just to have fun. Whether you are objective oriented or rambo fragger oriented, we all have our idea of what's fun. I normally play engie and truly care about the map objective, but don't really care if we win or lose because it is only a game. If the other team is getting hammered pretty bad I usually try to help out, but when that other team needs an engineer to progress the map and nobody is playing one, it's hard to feel bad for them. Those players might just be having fun though. As other have said, they are not impossible to beat. Try to keep your crosshair at head level, maybe adjust your sensitivity in small increments for better control. I like to use a small dot for my crosshair to ding their little rambo heads. If it gets too overwhelming shoot some dope and try to hang with them. I like to pick at meds, but it's all in fun. If they beat me then I just accept defeat :*(
  19. Some good theories in here, but to answer the original question, the wheel speed remains constant no matter where it is on the record.
  20. I've always had an interest in this stuff, but never experienced anything. I've looked at numerous posts and pictures, but haven't seen anything that qualifies as defining evidence. I certainly believe in the possibility though. My mother had a UFO sighting when she was a teenager. Not some far off light, but an object within 200 feet from her and other witnesses. Her story has always stuck with me. I bet she told it to me 30 years ago, and she would retell it the exact same way if I asked her today.
  21. My first thought is the wheel rpm would be 33 1/3 no matter where it touches the record. I have access to hand held tachometers here at work so I'll try to test.
  22. Never used them but I do use Plex. It's free and works pretty well for my needs. I stream to a Roku 3 with the Plex channel installed on it.
  23. Been weening myself off of milk and trying to get accustomed to almond milk. I enjoy chocolate milk, and the sweet milk after eating cereal But after learning that it contains puss and blood and the fact that it's for calfs, I've been getting away from it.
