Setting defaults to 0; when set to 1, PB will behave as though it has no Internet access

 

if I enable this command, I say to pb I do not have internet access?

It does not communicate?

no it lags me?

I do not kick?

 

I'm trying now on FOREVER XP servers do not kick me

 

 

what changes?

According to the =F|A=Tutorial: Game Specific Tutorials, Enemy Territory, Punkbuster Settings - Reduce Lag:

 

If You set pb_lan "1"

 

You won't be able to connect to a gameserver...

 

You would have to change the setting after You connected.

 

What this would do is stop PB from connecting to It's update server, But It was shutdown a few Years ago after They withdrew PB support for ET.

 

Everyone with the default setting still get's a console message after starting the game: Failed to connect to IP: xxx....

 

I use pb_system "1"  along with:

 

cl_punkbuster "1"  to enable My GUID(For xpsave).

 

No =F|A= Enemy Territory gameserver uses Punkbuster anymore.

 

The Founder has developed His own Anti-cheat software.

Si dovrà modificare l'impostazione Dopo aver connesso.

 

Che questo sarebbe fare è smettere di PB di connettersi al suo server di aggiornamento, ma è stato l'arresto a pochi anni fa, dopo Hanno ritirato il supporto PB per ET.

 

Tutti con l'impostazione di default comunque ottenere un messaggio di console dopo l'avvio del gioco: Impossibile connettersi a IP: xxx ....

 

Io uso pb_system "1" insieme a:

 

cl_punkbuster "1" per attivare My GUID (Per xpsave).

Il Fondatore ha sviluppato il proprio software anti-cheat.

Didnt mean to sound rude was in a hurry with video earlier.

 

I dont think they use PB like buck says it sends updates from the server but pb basically is unsupported ET software

 

The only thing is the user has to have client side software and enabled when connecting to fa servers I've noticed and it updates but that is all it does and it just needs to be turned on after a while it will stop sending heartbeats to evenbalance and it shuts down.

 

Still wouldn't mess with to many settings either pb_security 0 and sleep 500 will slow it down and it will cut off by it self.

 

Some servers in game menu for servers still use https://www.pbbans.com/ if you get banned on any that use this you will never be able to play on those cause it's permanent not server related bans you would have to actually plea with them for even the smallest infraction.

pbbans was a streaming service of Punkbuster that would ban cheaters on all gameservers

 

with pbbans once PB banned a player on one.

 

It's been discontinued.
