Video trouble

i need some help. for some reason my video for ET doesnt come up full screen anymore. im not sure why but i need help to get it back to full screen so i can continue fragging. if anyone has good knowledge for a windows  PC. please help. thank you

Have you done some update of Windows ? Check update for graphic card.

Then restore version before this update.

Full screen? You mean you see the border of the program and your desktop or is the issue ingame where you see vertical black bars on the sides of your screen?

It wasn't black bars. I see desktop and the game

Figure out your graphics card- and screen resolution 
For me, for example, this is 1366 x 768.

In any auto-exec cfg file or in-game enter the following in the console: 

seta r_mode -1
seta r_customwidth 1366 
seta r_customheight 768
vid_restart

 

This fixed my fullscreen problem too.

I copied your info and sent it line-by-line to a player on Jay1 and it fixed his problem of replacing a 17-inch monitor with a 32-inch one.

 

His site-registration is messed up, so I could not just send him a  link

right click shortcut on desktop, select shortcut tab and insert:

 

"C:\Program Files\Wolfenstein - Enemy Territory\et.exe" +set r_fullscreen 1

 

basically add :  +set r_fullscreen 1

to the target.
