How is it name stealing? You could use that argument for everyone, even Dare took his name from comics, yet the comic artists are raging...

i believed that dare's name was reserved in all server ? maybe not with out the F|A , did you guys got a chance to finger him ?

no tag... no problem for me... beside it's stupid nickname that DD thing i dunno why he took that name anyway... when you have better Hell_Return or even Blacky

Dare always said he doesn't have problem with ppl using its name, he doesn't own it.. (I think these where is words )..

 

there is no thing as reserved names on our servers.. the only restriction that admins must take action is using =F|A= tags..

witch is not the case...

 

Some admins may not like other ppl using theyr name.. so they may ask other admins to keep an eye for it..

but still there is no rule on the clan that makes them take any action..

 

I for one dont like when ppl use "CaldasGSM"... (not that it ever happned happened).. but cant make other admins enforce it..

of course if I'm on server.. then you better watch out

actually, your names are reserved via SL so no one can damage your rank on SL. The server should auto kick if someone is using ur exact name from a different ET KEY. But without the F|A part in his name the server doesn't catch it. Just wondering if you guys were interested. No, couldn't get a !finger on him, not admin anymore, sorry

I believe reserving your name on SL just prevents people from using your EXACT name with SL and having them damage your rating on SL. Reserving your name on SL does not keep people from using it in a server, just from using it on SL.

- "daredevil" Allowed. I don't have copyright for my name. =F|A= Daredevil not allowed. Their is one guy playing with name joedirt white letters. I always allow him. Why? It's not reason to fight over just one name. Always do !list to see admin levels. Thats it.

I believe reserving your name on SL just prevents people from using your EXACT name with SL and having them damage your rating on SL. Reserving your name on SL does not keep people from using it in a server, just from using it on SL.

 

Only if you reserve your colour codes as well, just registering the name with sl doesn't make your name hackproof.

 

When you register your colour codes, you can use a secret colour as well that won't show in your name for example ^1me^2^3+

SL will recognise that but it is hidden from anyone trying to copy your colours, so if you someone uses ^1me^3+ they will show as looking.

Reserving your name doesnt mean anything, lots of people make a mistake of using simple code to color their name by using only numbers, now if you are a rater someone can just use same number to steal your name and ruin your rate, thats why I always say mix it up use numbers and letters for colors and it will make it much harder for someone to steal it. You will not be autokicked for using someones name, only way you can get kicked is if there is a person on the server with the same exact name. I have already fingered this guy and his nick history suggest he likes devil names, he was bluedevil, daredevil etc. He is a nice guy from what I can see doesnt b***, mess with teammates and on occasion joins weaker team when teams get stacked.
