I dont follow KHL, but keep eye on stats in there, and goalies can get great stats in there. Top 3 save percante

 

1. A. Murygin (Lokomotiv) 34GP GAA 1.13 SV% 95,4 SO 13. W/L 28-7

2. I. Sorokin (CSKA) 28GP GAA 1.06 SV% 95,3 SO 10 W/L 17-7

3. A. Salak (Sibir) 52GP GAA 1,89 SV% 93,8 SO 6 W/L 26-15

I never saw before that Goalies can keep GAA in under 1,30 in 25+ game span in Pro-level in current hockey. Think about if Price, Dubnyk or Rask would keep his GAA in 1,13 and take 13 SO in 34GP span for start of season. Ofc you cant compare KHL and NHL, and thats is not my point, but i mean play with idea what if someone could do it in NHL too, could be interesting to see. Ofc when you check more Murygin and Sorokin they has got about 20 SA per game, and difference between weak and good team in KHL is a lot bigger than NHL what make those kind numbers for goalie possible. In Playoff Murygin stats are closer to normal, but Sorokin who is third pick of NYI has still made good numbers 12GP 1,17GAA  94,9SV% 3SO and 11-1. If you go past KHL stats history from goalies you can see amazing stats from same goalie for several year without any rumors for NHL contract, KHL is so different than NHL, currently there is only two goalie who did play well in KHL and is playing well in NHL goal also, those are Karri Rämö in CGY and Vasilievsky in TBL. Sorokin is probably next one, if you look goalies who has changed NHL to KHL you can see more who has made success in there, but without amazing stats, like Curtis Sanford and Robert Esche, but you can find goalies who has failed in KHL too and badly like Nabokov and Bryzgalov, so its super difficult to make anykind conclusions how good goalie could be in NHL from KHL leagua, best indicator would be national games.

 

But i like to follow Goalies, and usually days when i am tired i spend my day to checking goalies stats around from world (or i watch movies) and one goalie which always amaze me how he havent got NHL contract is Metsola  http://www.eliteprospects.com/player.php?player=11375 he is talented goalie, who havent got even chance to play in National team a lot, he is little bit like Niklas Bäckström who came NHL in age of 28. If you are high talent in young age, you get your chance more easily in AHL and from that you can make you way to NHL, but if you are not big talent in young age, you have to work a lot more to get AHL opportunity. One good example is Tim Thomas (MTL, BOS, FLA) who won two Vezina after age of 35 when he came NHL in age of 30 after dominating EU hockey leagues over 7 year.

Just got Wild vs Hawks game watched. Wild is first team since Boston and 1939 who are able to win all 5 regular season game against Hawks. We are playing great hockey at moment, better than i never before saw by Wild and we are real contender for Cup. We have Winning record against Blues and Hawks, we has won Dallas also and Nashville also, we have won LAK and Ducks also as San Jose too, we have won all the team who is going to playoffs from West, i think Central team suit better for our gamestyle, but its no matter if we beat Nashville too in race for first Wild card, or if LAK win Wester conference. Now i wish that we would be in playoffs already, even that i still have a lot to motivation to watch regular season too.

 

I has sayed last couple year that we have all the parts to win Cup except coach, but now when we changed Yeo to Torchetti we finally have very good coach too, lets be honest you need coach what suit to you roster, Torchetti is maybe best motivator what i have seen, and i like his tactict play also, last game against Hawks was chess match and we was able to won it too, with Yeo we always lost those kind games. Now we finally have all the parts to be Cup winner.

I will be super surprised if he get more than 3 game, i as pissed of on that, screaming and showing my fingers, out of my normal character, but it has seen in past that NHL favor teams like Chicago, Boston, Montreal, New R, or Pittsburght and even more they protect they super stars, players like Toews, Kane, Keith, Weber, Crosby, Ovechkin can do what they want and they get minimum penaltys and sametime other players sit a lot longer penaltys for a lot less. Doping penaltys and drugs penaltys is also ridiculous, in EU you can at least 3 year ban for doping in NHL only 10-20 game with minumun news and they not even tell what doping someone used, and with drugs no penaltys at all. NHL care more they moneys than players and fans, and it will not change as long as Bettman in is in charge.

Yeah, as i predict in my half season news, Colorado will dropp out, but could get more points than Pasific playoffs teams. (pasific teams have more points atm). Colorado still need minor update to they defence group, Varlamov has played well in last half of season, and team have talented forward group, maybe team could add defence or two from free markets and keep Böedker and who know, maybe they are in the playoffs next year. But there is still hockey left, Colorado have even minor chance to dropp Nashville out, then we both would go to playoffs

Just got last night Wild game watched, was disappointing lose, its strange how you can be so unlucky against same team, couple year ago we lost many games against Colorado when we had so much unluck, then we turned that and has won most of game against Colorado, but against Ottawa unlucky games keep coming, in last game we blow our lead 8 second berore full time, in this game we gave two unlucky goal, last game winning goal came behind goal and bouched from Haula and from Dubnyk to net, but i saw a lot positive from that game too.

 

I think Calgary should kick they coach, i think all started go wrong from start of season when coach Hartley made panick move and moved Rämö to AHL only after 4 start. I think Calgary is last place in save% and GA. They keep blaming goalies, no matter what TV-company host game they put most of blame to goalies, even that reason for poor defence is that team forwards not defence at all, team had NHL best defenders group in start of season and they get huge amount of goals and points from defenders i think they are top 3 in that area, but they young forwards dont care to defence at all, all and i mean all praise Johnny the Hockey Gaudreu, even that he lose a lot pucks when he try do all by himself and he dont come to defence either. They are looking goalie, but what they should looking is new coach and couple veteran and defensive forwards.

Dubnyk played more than great this month, and good to see that kind of ''skill showing'' as we are getting near to the playoffs, goaltending in a 4 out of 7 is a big factor about who win/lose the serie.

 

As i though wild win their race against Colorado and will go in playoffs great for you rantala ! And Habs are officially out, not that much of a suprise now that we saw it coming since 2-3 months, time to cut heads in montreal !! Please get Desharnais + Scrivens out and trade Eller + plekanec, would be a start. And we won yesterday vs lightning just to have a worst pick for next year. GRRRRRREAT

 

Keith is a weird bipolar type of player, hope he gets maximum but as we know and what you said rantala, the league is so protective of they're biggest star and keith is obviously one. NHL players never get what they deserve when they go crazy.

Actually Keith had an in-person hearing but he decided not to go and just talk by phone. So it still means 6+ games. I expect remaining of seaosn (5 games) + 1 playoffs games.

Yeah Dubnyk, sometimes i love him and sometimes he make crazy, but its fact that he played great hockey when we need it (in this year and in last year), and even that he give those easy goals now and then, he has great skill to keep us in games, will give him time to show his true colours in playoffs.

 

Lets not forget how great hockey (MTL) team played when Price was healthy, they just lost something mental stuff when they lost Price, i think they biggest mistake was that they didn't take better second goalie, you cant blame Condon, because he is rookie, he was put in too big role too early, he was ECHL goalie only two year ago. I didnt see a lot games from Habs, but when they played against Wild couple time, you could see that Condon gave those goals what Price would have saved and that killed they team play. Plekanec and Markov are only players from S.Koivu era when i still followed Habs, and i think that Plekanec is underrated player, he has been good two-way player and he have good leader skills too. Desharnais has been player who has played over his skills in past, but this year has been hard to him. Team biggest need is to get Price back and get more wide to scoring group. E. Staal have hard season, but if you can get him cheap price for next year, he is player who could help you, i think team need more veteran player than young star, injuries has played biggest part, Chicago would probably be outside team too if they would played whole season without Crawford, so MTL not need big re-build.

Okey thanks for clarification, yeah first i did read somewhere that he was called to personal hearing, but then latest update what i read was that he have phone hearing, but wtf? why he didnt go to in-person hearing? Yeah and he got that 6 game, what is so wrong, is there any critic in your media on that? If we see Hawks in playoff i hope that Dumba go and teach him good manners (and i mean clean fight, nothing dirty)

Third lose row, we has been hot or cold team with Torch era, and that have to get fixed when playoff start, in last loses we havent got secondary scoring what we did get in our winning streaks, little bit worried, but i know that winning that game what would mean that you clinch to playoffs is maybe hardest to win, if i am correct it did take 4 game (3 lost) from Washington too, luckly Colorado has lost they past three game too. Look like Torch has made his first error too, he has overplayed Dubnyk and now he has shown little bit tired in his last 3 game, but you cant blame him for last night game. Two of three lose's has been close one's. What is good is that our leaders, Koivu and Parise played great game again, some young players need to play little bit better and Suter also, Suter has played season two worst game in last two games. Still waiting more from Dumba too, i see his potential, but sometimes he make big mistakes in own zone, but when he play with his skills, i love it, i like his attidute when he play his game, he is ready to fight (only Wild player) and defence his friends. Even that we has lost games, there has been good moments too, its different than with Yeo, when we lost games with him there was not any push in games what we was losing, now we always make that final push, it havent pay yet to us, because we has lost all, but two game where we allowed first goal, but if we keep doing it, it will pay in somepoint.
