There are so many phenomenal drummers.  I have been playing for 40+ years - Evolution is inevitable - I remember playing (or trying when i was little) to play both A and B side of the Hocus Pocus by Focus 45 (yes im that old).  Then I found Rush....the fusion/Jazz Chick Corea - Dave Weckl plus so many more you can learn something from every drummer - the guy who blows my mind everytime I see him either live or on a video is Mike Mangini - amazing coordinated independence
