Commands 'n levels

Hi all!

 

As I play NQ1 quite some time, and I think with a little suggestion playing could be even more joyful than it is now already!

 

First of all, the !teams command is used almost every round. Mostly to just draw attention to an imbalance in players. It is an annoying alarm and often used incorrectly by other players. I would like to suggest to make the !even command for lvl 1+ and the !teams command for lvl 11+. In that way all players can ask attention for team balance in a nice way. Only (trail) members can make a more persuasive call.

 

Secondly, teams are often balanced in player count but are way off in fairness. We all know by now that a shuffle would only be in place during the first stage of the warming up-period. It happened multiple times last week that teams were just annoyingly unfair but there was nobody to shuffle. Would it be possible to give lvl 12+ the !shuffle command?

 

At last, maybe it is possible to update the sounds after a while? Just some refreshment would be cool. If it is a tough job sorry. Just suggesting

I really like your first suggestion. As for the !shuffle: there is no need for it. If teams are unfair by kill/death, do /scores and see which players have high kill/death ratio. Ask them nicely if they want to move/be put for teams balance. Make sure FA members move first, but if that doesn't solve the teams, people can be moved based on k/d. That way you won't annoy as many people as you would when you !shuffle and move everyone.

 

For updates in the sounds, I suppose there is need for a new soundpack to make that happen. Don't suppose many people are very eager to do it, but if you feel like it I think no one is going to stop you.

I share Platonic thoughts, even if I would rather give !even to level 2 instead of lvl 1 actually !shuffle is more practical but not indispensable

Also agree with Plat and Kat maybe levels 2 for even command but I don't think it's wise to give shuffle to lower levels as I can see it being abused and used at the wrong times imo

I see that ppls keep !shuffle command way too important, usually lvl 15+ members say that u dont need shuffle you can fix teams using putteam, they has saw that putteam not fix problem(always) and can annoy players more than putteam, example i use shuffle maybe 1-2 per month and only if several members asked me to use it, its a lot more easier to use putteam and take strong player from team A to team B and move weaker player from Team B to team A and even teams that way, in servers where population is not high you can remember who you had moved today and you can avoid to moving them again in sameday. Just my view

The simple reason lvl 15 has !shuffle is that we want to teach our members how to be good admins. Shuffle is convienient, I admit, but having to deal with stacked teams with !put only gives you the opportunity to improve yourself and get to know with regulars.

 

As for the voice chat, it is a tough job, I'm glad you are aware of it. How would you like to create a new set of vsays?
