Aniky
You may confusing... I just made announcement on forum when the final version came out that's it... I also tested a lot of products I have kaspersky on my win 7 32bits, and also have Avira on my second hard drive (Win 7 64bits with my games) which I know it's smooth and light running on background which one would be better than for games to run smoother, avast or avira, since i assume u tested both allready with et? -=Medic=-
which one would be better than for games to run smoother, avast or avira, since i assume u tested both allready with et? well last week I finished build up little pc I'm sending to my family home and I tested both to try to figure out which one work better and which one will handle security matters without need all time to say hey do this... avira was the best choice also as program running on background PT4 dual core 3Ghz 4 GB RAM 320 GB HD Ati x1300 Vista 32bits SP2 with Avast: 37Mb memory used 5% of CPU and sometimes more with Avira: 15Mb memory used 0 to 1% of CPU for ET well with any antivirus you can run without any problem cuz both programs have (like all antivirus) in setting safe program, so your antivirus will not block or add any restriction to ET if you add it as trusted program

OnionKnight
I use avast at the moment. Lol AVG was horrible. Crashed my computer over 40 times. Once I uninstalled it I had no problems ever again (i don't know why but it just crashes my computer for no particular reason). Anyways with avast i am quite happy. No problems so everything is good

Its detected anything that I have gotten, and doesnt affect my ET (at least that I know of). I do my nightly scans at 1 o'clock everyday and that is that
-=Medic=-
how about licence and stuffs, is it same as at avast, when u can register it for one year for free, or is there any crack out maybe for even pro edition? it's about your PC usage like: internet, docs editing, watch video, play games and you don't visit sites about crappy things... you know what i mean all stuff out of professional thing and with normal using, So free version is more than enough for anyone both version as you may know need registration to be installed and after register both will be fully with updates for 1 year... come to crack as i said you won't need that and also most important thing, F|A forum rules we don't allow how to use illegal software or warez talking
Desu
avg somehow deleted my image files and made it impossible to start comp. always gave me bsod had to reboot. i am satisfied with norton 2010.
NoGooD
I agree with most about using avast. I think it may have more features than avira, which is one of the reasons for the heavy memory usage. I've also heard nothing but good things about avira so either way your probably good to go. I would stay away from AVG personally. Do a search for AVG+problems. There seems to be quite a few people out there that have issues with it. Some run it fine for years with no ill effects...then there are people like Desu that get all their porn pics erased and their MBR corrupted, lol.
