My last post about my PC Problems, I hope....

After I installed Win7 Homepremium on here two days ago, using the Work Network setting, nothing has gone askew.

It works so good, and is so much faster than any of the other installs I have done lately.  I am finally happy.

My hardware is functioning perfectly, the internet is good, and COD4 is playing without hiccups, and I can Copy and Paste

all I want to our forum.

Can I get an AMEN !  Hallelujah !   Life is good again.

I am going to go get myself toasted.  :cheers    (Even the emoticons are working)

A M E N !

  :yahoo   :party  :fixed  :app:

I could not believe that you were having so much trouble!  Isn't it maddening for it to be caused by one little choice that any of us could have made?

I´m still wondering which setting this mysterious Work Network is?

Is this under those settings: Control Panel\System and Security\Windows Firewall? Public\Private network?

No this is a screen that comes up when you are loading Windows 7 Home Premier the first time.  It gives you 3 choices:  Home Network, Work , and Public Network.

Should be the same thing, only its 2 choises in win8.1 now. Strange thing is that Work Network should have more strict rules? But let´s you to use flash\java parts more freely? :o

It's supposing the difference between a business class PC user, verses the avg. home user (only checking email, facebook, youtube etc.)

Control Panel\System and Security\Administrative Tools and choose "Event Viewer"

More details would be good, as in which process\driver its related to or it may even be hardware related?

Anything changed lately on your system\hardware?

This is going in my signature. Elf, I'm pretty sure you meant 16 GB of RAM. If you didn't then I want to know how the hell your desktop even boots xD
