thanks  lets see if it will work for me

http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=NK1KDJSVj7Q

this is what I always get

I pasted the same link and I get the embedded video... weird

another thing you could try is that button on top 'special bbcode' then media, and paste in the media url... bvut for me it just works by pasting the video url

I did all those exactly as you say and I still don't get the video start image.  Just the url listing.

Half the time I dont get a paste screen.  I have to move the cursor around the box and click several times before I get the paste selection.

So I use ctrl-v.

I think my system is totally rat f***ed.

My conclusions: (for Chrome :) )
1) don't mess with share-Embed unless you are making a web page.
2) copy from the share-Share box and paste that into a forum message
3) or you can copy the address from the browser address-bar and paste it here.
4) this editor program may turn some addresses into links and not use the video player

From my experiments below...it seems that any address starting with "www" will not show a video player here, but it will link to the Youtube site.

If the link starts with "HTTP" it will play on this page.

<iframe width="640" height="360" src="//www.youtube.com/embed/NK1KDJSVj7Q?feature=player_embedded" frameborder="0" allowfullscreen></iframe>

I was able to copy the link from your post and paste it into an edit box here, and it worked for me, in Chrome.

I don't understand the "...don't get a paste screen.  I have to move..."

Are you talking about pasting the Youtube address into the Post Edit Window here, where you normally type your words?

Copied & pasted via mouse: haha, now mine is not working:??? now it IS working ??? now it is not!

It seem that the forum editor is sometimes turning this
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=NK1KDJSVj7Q
into a URL link, like this:
[url=http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=NK1KDJSVj7Q]http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=NK1KDJSVj7Q[/url]

www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=NK1KDJSVj7Q

the one below is http://youtu.be/NK1KDJSVj7Q

www.youtube.com/NK1KDJSVj7Q
http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=NK1KDJSVj7Q

This format does have two advantages:  1) it will expand to full screen here, and 2) the displayed player size is larger

I cleaned WIndows 7 and IE 11 and then loaded on Chrome.

Still won't C&P.  But, it doesn't matter I am going to build a new PC with Windows 7 32 bit PRO and then everything will work again.

I think it is just 64bit Windows7 that is messed up.  At least I will get my hardware to work again.

I did find out that this forum will not work with IE 10 or 11.  As far as C&P.  IE 9 works okay.

It is like the "clipboard" is turned off...?  But you said elsewhere you could paste into other programs, just not browsers.

It sounds some sort of general Internet security setting is on...but you reinstalled Windows... :?:

Here http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/ie/forum/ie11-windows_7/internet-explorer-11-cannot-use-copy-paste-within/5b4489fc-9208-45d9-ac1d-b027fc494e7d they are talking about "clean booting" to see if other programs are interfering with that c&p function.
