currently am using:

i generally have pictures from hubble or the cassini mission or something like that on my desktop. very high resolution pictures of astronomical objects are generally easy to find and free by searching NASA, JPL, ESA sites etc. lol i just got back from working in washington DC last week - i had a chance to go to the museums and discovered that the pic in the link, what i was using for a desktop background, the smithsonian was using to cover a 15ft wide wall in the air and space museum =D it looks better at the museum - i guess they printed from the 14400 x 9600 image -- but that one is WAY to big for my screen.. but yeah if you want a ridiculously high resolution image of the moon or some nebula, they are generally out there and free to the public. 14400x9600???
