PiNoY Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Was the error under enabled UAC ? Have you tried disabling windows UAC? Right click on folder yet and fix inheritable permissions? Quote

Chameleon Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Have you checked in your background processes to see if there is anything steam related running in the background? Sometimes an app or game installs something that is running constantly that you don't know about and this error pops up.. Keep in mind, I am no pc wizard also haha Quote
Midnight Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 I have this same issue (or sorta same issue) with FarCry 3. I installed the game, hated it, uninstalled it, but it still lists the program in my "Installed Programs". When I try to uninstall it will not let me. I don't know what the error is and I cannot get to it at this moment. @ Annibal- I would like to see what you posted. It may help me. 2 Quote

Mortemex Posted August 14, 2014 Posted August 14, 2014 Download a program called Lockhunter. It will tell you what process or application is using that folder. If its a game folder in question, then boot the computer in safe mode and all items that would normally be holding it hostage will go away and you are able to delete it 1 Quote
