Congratz LA fan, it was great trade for your team, and make your team even more better, im little bit envious how good defender you got, Sekera in underrated defender, he is good two way defender what is suitable in second pair minutes. Good catch mate!

Thanks VonRan    :cheers

You thought it would take more to get Sekera? Don't get me wrong he's a good defenseman. But I believe LA paid too much for him. But you guys needed one more D like him. So I can understand.

Well I know some say that ... however, the 1st Round pick could be the 30th Overall  :P ( I hope of course ) and frankly aside from Doughty (2nd overall) and Schenn (4th overall) our first round picks tend to be a bust, Lombardi, Futa and Yannetti seem to have MUCH BETTER Successes drafting "NHL players" from the 2nd round on down as weird as that is, examples Wayne Simmonds, Alec Martinez, Dwight King, Slava Voynov, Andrei Loktionov, Jordan Nolan, Linden Vey, Kyle Clifford, Tyler Toffoli, Nick Shore, Tanner Pearson (ok he was a 30th overall), Valentin Zykoov.

And as for the D-man prospect we gave up Roland McKeown, while he was a good 2nd round draft pick, he fell in the rankings and was drafted later than most originally thought where he'd be selected, which is how the Kings got him in the first place. And also consider his development according to Kings staff hasn't been very good, they think he lacks an identity and focus and his effort to become a more solid DEFENSIVE defenseman to fit the LA Kings style has seen his offensive production shrink to nothing this season. Couple that with the fact that he's behind other Kings Defenseman prospects like Derek Forbort, Kevin Gravel, Colin Miller, Paul Ladue, Zac Leslie and Nick Ebert ... all adds up to a guy that would be lucky to see NHL ice time for the Kings 3 to 4 years down the line. Not to mention the majority of the Kings current D-men ... Drew Doughty, Jake Muzzin, Slava Voynov, Brayden McNabb and Alec Martinez are ALL YOUNG (mid 20's) and signed to long term contracts with the Kings. So McKeown was more than an expendable asset we could afford to give up to get someone like Andrej Sekera in return.

You also have to consider the Hawks, Ducks and other teams were looking at picking up Sekera as well, so there was somewhat of a bidding war, and to keep the other teams from getting him was well worth maybe the slight overpayment as some would describe.

Lastly Sekera is good friends with Gaborik, Mike Futa the Kings Head of Scouting, was his GM in juniors, and Sekera supposedly loves to play in LA as his favorite road stadium ... so maybe making it his HOME stadium and everything else will lead to him wanting to re-sign with the Kings and not make this a trade for just a "rental" ... and if that's the case, what we gave up would hardly be considered an 'overpayment'  ^_^

And of course, IF adding Sekera helps the Kings go DEEP into the Playoffs or possibly REPEAT as CUP Champs ... well then WE got the better end of the Deal !   :cheers

Wow just came here quickly before going to sleep, i just watched games against Nashville and Colorada and we played great hockey and take two great win and we are in playoff line now. YES!

Congratz to Chicago they got Kimmo Timonen, he is my big idol and favorite defender of NHL, i was so hoping that Wild pick him, but now when he is in Chicago uniform i will look eye how he play in there, im Wild fan, but if Wild not win Cup i hope that Kimmo Timonen will, but ofcourse i hope more that Wild win cup. But Chicago got great leader when they take Timonen.

Chicago take Antoine Vermette too.

Washington take Curtis Glencross

New York Rangers take Keith Yandle

So after i see that we didnt take Timonen or Yandle im little bit disappointed, because we really need one defender in group, so maybe we can get Mike Green. I think Sutter have been played under his skills and he have been underachiever, but i can understand why, so i think our powerplay need boost and we need one offencive defender in group. I hope that Fletcher doing something.

Now i go to sleep and i will come back active in site tomorrow again!

Stars of month http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=755839&navid=nhl:topheads

Dubnyk is first star :) First Wild player ever who is named to first star of month :)

I just hear that Slava Voynov is traded to Philadelphia, here you can see all trades, i cant update all in here. http://www.eliteprospects.com/index.php?status=league&view=&leagueid=7

Coburn is traded to Tampa Bay!

I still wait that Wild take at least on Defender!

EDIT: Rämö played well lately and maybe Calgary keep him, and give him more gameday now, when they gave so much game time to Hiller in first half of season.

I think there will me more to come for sure. I have been happy with the play of the team so far this year. Too bad about our Captain but we got a good waiver pickup with D-Man David Schlemko the Dallas Stars.

:dntk  ummm NO ?

Yeah! I should had take pic of that new, it was in cofirmed trade list couple min and source was Russian News Magazine, (i dont speak Russian or cant even read that) so i trust Eliteprospect when they usually are very trustful source, hehe i did you fright? when you read my message?

Okey Wild take Jordan Leopold and Chris Stewart, i think Leopold is not answer what we need in defencive group, but i i give him change, i dont know him so well, but he is one Minnesota born player more in our roster. Chuck Fletcher main theme have been Minnesota native players signing or Minnesota University players like Haula and Vanek, at the moment we have like 6-10 Player who came from Minnesota (born in Minnesota) or played in Minnesota University/college hockey. I dont know Chris Stewart at all, but we really was needing guy who can play physical hockey and drop gloves when needed, after Cooke injured too many teams have take unnecessary freedom physical play towards our players. After Stewart trade, Berheim trade not make so much sence to me, maybe he is that 13 forward after we get Carter, Cooke and Zucker back from Injuries and Stewart can be solid Third Winger and second powerplay player, or maybe in first powerplay too, we need net present in our powerplay. I was little bit disappointend that we didnt get offencive defender or Center to our roster, we should have take Olli Jokinen in third line or Yandle in defencive group, But in overal im happy that we even made trades, so Fletcher 9 from me on his actions in trades in this season.

Players who need to take next step that we can go long in playoffs

Charlie Coyle

Jared Spurgeon

Players who have been played little bit under skills, but who i trust will take next step when needed, (and who had take those next steps time to time when we needed those in this season)

Mikko Koivu

Thomas Vanek

My fantasy lines after eveyone is healthy (first playoff game line ups)

Z.Parise - M. Granlund - J. Pomminville

J. Zucker - M. Koivu - T. Vanek

C. Stewart - C. Coyle - N. Niederraiter

R. Carter - K. Brodziak - M. Cooke

J. Brodin - R. Sutter

J. Spurgeon - M. Scandella

J. Leopold - M. Dumba

D. Dubnyk

N. Bäckström

D. Kuemper

I saw Pics of Kimmo Timonen today in Hawks uniform, even that i really hope that Wild take him, i was soooooooo happy to see him smiling and playing hockey, i so hope that he continue in next season too even that he sayed that this is his last season for sure! I will watch Hawsk games when playoff stars, and i hope that Wild can play against Pacific teams in playoffs so Chicago and Wild can play in conference finals, so it can be even little bit win, win situation to me, even that i know it come to be huge disappointment if Wild not play in Finals or win Cup. But if Wild not play in Finals i have second team what to follow now. Daam how much i love hockey, its always so nice to wake up in morning when you know that today after you visit in grandparents and you come back to home game is waiting to you! :)

Dubnyk will start his 23 or 24 game straight, and its back to back games, i dont know why Yeo cant give him rest now when its against Carolina and we are in over playoffline, Dubnyk really earned that start he is our hero and starting goalie, but Yeo made every single year same mistake and played too much same goalie and then goalie have been tired in playoffs or injured. I type this hear because its look like Yeo is doing same mistake again, why why he not give Dubnyk rest when we play 3 game in 5 day and Dubnyk already started over 20 game row! and we played month now with games every alternitive days. Dubnyk need rest! Sometimes its just feel like Yeo is so stupid and dont learn from past mistakes. I so hope that Dubnyk not get tired just when playoffs start or he not injure him self as Bäckström 2013, Harding and Kuemper in 2014

Wild have been hotest team after allstar break and now we are 3 point behind Chicago, here we come, how hight we can raise ourselves. We played hockey what wild can play when they are in they best! If we continue playing like we play now we can win cup in this season! Dubnyk should be in Hart finalist and players like Granlund, Koivu, Parise, Pomminville, Fontaine and Stewart have played great hockey in our forward lines and Brodin, Suter and Dumba played great hockey in defender spot as underrated Prosser, how taken spot from penalty kill group and have been our best defencive defender with Brodin and best penalty killer.

My new Wild favorite players

Matt Dumba

Devan Dubnyk

Dubnyk and Dumba take very fast place in my heart and now Stewart have mad big impression to me, i like his style a lot, i love players who play like he play, hard but following rules and are ready to drop gloves if needed. So i think he will be my next new favorite player.
