LA_Kings_Fan Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 (edited) WooW ... we beat Chicago 3-0 ... If we continue play like this we can win Cup in this season. HA ! .... AGAIN ... Hawks looked like crap last night!!! Yep ... hell, we (the Kings) beat the Hawks last week too ... and look how poorly MY Team has been playing of late The Hawks and especially my KINGS have played A LOT OF HOCKEY over the last THREE (3) years in particular ... they are TIRED and worn down it looks like, I'm not expecting much anymore this season, we MIGHT still make the playoffs, and IF so who knows, NOBODY wants to play a Team that WON the CUP twice in the last 3 years and made the Conference Finals the year they didn't ... but I think I'm almost to the point of looking forward to next season when we might be back rested and ready for another serious Cup run. von Rantala Posted February 5, 2015 Author Posted February 5, 2015 LAK can go long in playoffs, they gamestyle is more suitable in Playoffs than Regular season mate, so dont give up yet!! For Hawks they need to make re-build in next season, when Kane and Toews contract start in next year and they need to trade two to three players, maybe Hossa or Saad, Keith or Seabrook, Bickell or Crawford etc, someone most be traded that they can go under cap line, or they need to hope that cap will raise a lot. LAK Fan i didt mean only that Hawks game, i mean if Wild continue playing like they have been played last 5 game we can won cup but ofcourse i know that every team has hot and cold streaks, like Buffalo did this year, they won 5 game in straight too, i think Wild still need one center (Granlund should be winger not center) and one defender and solid number two goalie, before we can go long in playoffs, but in playoffs everything is possible. ++Sl@yer Posted February 5, 2015 Posted February 5, 2015 I can't say too much too often. I am impressed with The Flames this season. Hiller is holding his own against a well stacked lineup of shooters. They have a 79.6% chance of making the playoffs, that's 79% more than most of Calgarians gave them at the start of the season . @ Lefty- I feel bad for you the streak your team is on, been there, done that before. It can only inspire them to do better. 1 Quote

von Rantala Posted February 9, 2015 Author Posted February 9, 2015 Three stars of week http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=752463&navid=nhl:topheads Dubnyk is first star, he now played 9 Game in Wild and taken 4 shotout, he can surprise us all and all NHL reporters, we has saw in past so many times how goalies raise in stars and elite of league after team change, last example Sergei Bobrovsky from Philadelphia to Columbus, what i have seen in these 9 games, Dubnyk can be do same as Bobrovsky did in Columbus and raise to elite goalie of league, he is very good and solid goalie, he can make those big saves, but usually he position himself so well that he dont need make dashing saves, last year i say that we lose serie agaist Chicago because our poor goalie game, whole this season i say that we keep losing because our poor goalie game, and after we got solid goalie what we have done, we start win games 7-1-1 in last nine games, we shoot 24 time agaist Chicago in one period, we out shot Coloroda 18-4 in first period what was one of best periods of this year (2015). We have been different team last nine games. Quote
meow Posted February 9, 2015 Posted February 9, 2015 Dubnyk can be do same as Bobrovsky did in Columbus and raise to elite goalie of league No. He's good on a short period of time. He's never been able to be a number one goalie for a reason. Always been 2nd or even 3rd. Even if he finishes the year strong, he won't do it next year. I even doubt he can keep this up this year Quote

I even doubt he can keep this up this year Only time can tell, but there is still possibilty that he can make same as Bobrovsky. Its now first time in his career when he has solid defender group front of him, he havent get that in Edmonton or Phoenix in this season, last season was awful to Dubnyk, but every single player play at least one poor season in they career. Let time to tell this to us BTW again great win last night, even that we lost two men in first period we won Vancouver, now its hard game coming when its back to back game agaist Winnipeg and we had to over play couple of key players last night because those injuries, if we win Winnipeg today all is in our hands Biggest game of year coming. von Rantala Posted February 15, 2015 Author Posted February 15, 2015 There has been trade Olli Jokinen ©, Brendan Leipsic (C/W) and 1st Round pic 2015 to Toronto exchange Cody Franson D and Mike Santorelli (C/W) Cody Franson have been always very underrated defender, he is great two way defender who not get appreciation what he should get. Now Nashville owns one of best defence group in NHL, i think its in Top 5 now and maybe in top 3 too, when there is a lot talent in defender group also. But its not good as Chicago group which i still think is best defender group in NHL Quote
von Rantala Posted February 16, 2015 Author Posted February 16, 2015 Its not only me who behind wild classes Lately, I've been asking myself this question: If the Minnesota Wild make the Stanley Cup Playoffs, is goalie Devan Dubnyk suddenly a serious contender for the Hart Trophy? Devan Dubnyk Goalie - MIN RECORD: 19-6-3GAA: 2.25 | SVP: .924 The Wild have been the hottest team in the NHL lately and they're climbing up the standings. If they do make it in, as far as I'm concerned, Dubnyk is going to be the reason why. He's been stellar since arriving, going 10-1-1 with a 1.60 goals-against average, a .938 save percentage and four shutouts, and as a result Minnesota is now on the cusp of cracking the top eight. Acquiring Dubnyk has completely changed the outlook of this team and completely changed its fortunes, and when you take that into account, as unheard of as it would be, I think you can make an argument that he's been the most valuable player in the League.I've never heard of someone getting the Hart Trophy after playing for a team for only half of a season, but there's no doubt that Minnesota doesn't make the playoffs if it doesn't make the Dubnyk trade. No doubt. Before he came in Minnesota was floundering. It was done. The Wild were going to go quietly and probably cost Mike Yeo his job, but now they're the hottest team in the NHL and if they keep it up they might scare one of the Western Conference's big dogs in the first round. Minnesota is now a force to be reckoned with, and it's all because of a trade for a goaltender that couldn't make it in Edmonton. http://www.nhl.com/ice/blogpost.htm?id=37106&navid=nhl:topheads Lately we played great, and if we continue play like we play now we really can win Cup. As i say in bad losing streak too that i like some what Mike Yeo doing and now he start get my heart back. I like how he go and tap players shoulder when they make goal or how he encourage players if they miss goal opportunity. But still Yeo need to get our team at least to second round! Last week three stars of week! http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=753613&navid=nhl:topheads This season is goalies season, there is 15 goalie who got at least 92.0% save percent, and look like we get season without 100 point player, look like there is only couple player who is in point per game pace, i dont know what is lowest amout of point in one whole 82 game season what has bring Art Ross Trophy but look like in this season winner can be player who take only 85 point! This season MVP has been Rinne second has been Price and third can be Dubnyk. Ofcourse its too earlie to say if Dubnyk MVP finalist or not, but that we have two goalie finalist show that we has enjoyed baddle of goalies in this season. Quote
LA_Kings_Fan Posted February 17, 2015 Posted February 17, 2015 Your 'NHL 3 Stars of the Week' are ... http://www.nhl.com/ice/news.htm?id=753613&navid=nhl:topheads&cmpid=nhl-fb OH ... and don't look now but ... my KINGS have won FIVE IN A ROW, to stay in the Playoffs Hunt http://www.nhl.com/gamecenter/en/recap?id=2014020845 Quote
von Rantala Posted February 17, 2015 Author Posted February 17, 2015 Wild play worst game after allstar break and lose for Vancouver, we was close to make tieng goal end of game, but we play so poorly whole game that it was right to team that they didnt get point from that game! I dont know if team was tired or arrogant of latest suggest, but usually win streaks end for this kind games when team just play poorly when they think that wins come automaticly. Wild didnt give anything in ice last game, now we are 3 point behind San Jose and 1 Point behind Kings, luckly we still have 25 game to coming so we have enough time to make playoffs, but we cant play games like this anymore, i hope to see in next game that leaders take that next step again.
