In Star Wars "The Empire Strikes Back" Han asks Chewie for a "Hydro-spanner" tool to fix the hyperdrive.

 

What you say,  "Is a hydro-spanner"?  FIrst  Hydro meaning water  and spanner meaning  wrench.

 

More commonly referred to as a pipe wrench, plumber's wrench, or as we say here in America....

 

"a Monkey Wrench". (Because it is so simple a monkey can use it)

Now ask yourself this...would you go skipping around the galaxy at warp speed with a guy who fixes his

space ship with that???

Well, I'm sure they still had waste-disposal problems back then, or did they just Star-Trek-like transport it into space, like a ship dumping at sea?  Boy, if you dropped your wallet into that toilet it, was really, really gone!

He also gets things to work with " percussive" maintenance, IE he beats on things till they work, Now tell me you have never " tapped" the gauge of anything mechanical that read out of range, or owned a car at some point that need a little persuasion from  time to time
