amberstarr Posted May 17, 2014 Posted May 17, 2014 I have a sort of "specialty" when I cook. I tend to make a lot of breakfast/ lunch meals. Today I made something pretty great. I will say, it was by far one of the most delicious items I've ever created. I took 2 tortillas and cooked them until they were warm. DO NOT OVER COOK THEM THEY WILL NOT FOLD. Then I took 2 eggs broke the yolks added 1/4 cup of milk and a few pinches of shredded cheese. I scrambled them together over a little butter. I then put a half of a spoon of sour cream on each tortilla. Then I sprinkled 1 pinch of cheese on the sour cream. Finally, I put the egg on top, (Add salt/pepper if you like) and folded the tortilla closed. May I say it was delicious. 2 Quote

CheepHeep Posted May 18, 2014 Posted May 18, 2014 Each time i cook i make something different. I experiment a lot. A favourite of mine, i called the pepper pizza. Basically just got a pepper, chopped the top off, gutted the insides and filled it with cheese, tomato puree, olives and other ingredients that are usually found on pizza. Then i just popped it in the oven or grill and just leave it for like 15-20mins and voila, a pizza in a pepper, DELICIOUS I SAY! I generally make puddings and stir fries. Quote
Seggy Posted May 19, 2014 Posted May 19, 2014 Salsa. 10-12 Serrano chiles 4-6 Jalepeno peppers 4-6 Habenero peppers Cut the stems off, roast over a fire. In the mean time, blister the skins off of 8-10 tomatillos, 3-4 tomatoes. Lightly roast onions and garlic. Toss the tomatillos, tomatoes, onions, and garlic in a blender with some cilantro. Blend until chunky. Take the peppers off the fire when lightly charred. Toss in blender. Blend. It sounds like it would be exceedingly hot, but it actually goes down with a sweetish, lemony taste. The heat doesn't come until later. Quote

DozerDoug Posted May 24, 2014 Posted May 24, 2014 Thanks for starting this one Amber, Yesterday we had a end of school party for my 10yr old son. We had about 8 of his friends and their families over. I made burgers 4 different ways. First I took the meat and mixed in salt pepper wochestershire sauce bread crumbs and eggs. Then I divided it into 4 parts. One part got green olives sliced up and blue cheese mixed in. Another got swiss cheese and sautéed mushrooms. A third was chedder and sautéed onions. And the last got a pat of butter inside that I had mixed with garlic, salt, and dried chives. They all were a big hit. I should have taken pictures of them on the grill. I too enjoy cooking. Especially for group parties or gatherings. Quote
