Jay 2 server uneven teams

I already know this topic has been made probably a million times but not the point. I joined today and saw that axis had 10 real players and allies with 1 real players and asked for other to switch and response was seems even. clearly they enjoy owning the bots... but idk how this can be fixed, maybe if all players all contributed and followed the rules ? but maybe there should be some admins on the jay 2 server, i dont see many except like von and couple others... how can this be fixed? because it really annoys me and ruins the game, pardon my french but we cant win with these dumb ass bots ..thank you

Usually, you have more players on axis.

 

What ? You don't like playing with Cledus, Vokur and Chimichanga ? They are great teammates

 

You have to encourage people to switch. That's what I do and it works...sometimes.

It is definitely a problem (on most servers) if there are not so much players on and no admins. Yet it seems to be ignored.

When I connect myself and that 10 vs 1, I try to balance the teams certain accept but others disconnect….
It is hard on J2 and it is true that there is a lack of admins.

It is not true that the admin does not work balancing, after last night I played, and everything is good in the highest OK, I have nothing to say, everyone is friendly, no messing, I`t was all ok.

The real issue is COMMON SENSE.

 

Let's say you join the game and see unfair teams. The first thing to do is even up by joining the weakest team.

 

You can also encourage players to switch or move them if possible.

you are all talking about switch teams but the problem is that in many hours i played on jay 2 i made a bit of statistic and its like this

 

on 10 new players that arive to the server 8 join the wrong team..and every 5 mins we got to say it and repeat it..."Look to the teams before join plz"

and

5 on 10 are regulars that even some of them have lvl i always say to them..." idk why you have lvl if you dont even care about playing with fair teams"

 

and there, always start all the whining and insulting towards the admins...

 

and the most stupid about ppl like this is that some of them disconnect when i try to even teams....so They preefer to not play ,instead of playing with fair teams...

 

all i say its sad...realy sad..

 

ps and good Sk@ olykiller is reading this cuz he is one of the lvled ppl that dont care if teams are good or not....

this is just to see if you wake up and start doing something,not to punish you...you have lvl 4 and i expect more from you..just that

It wouldn't be possible to stack teams 10vs1 if there weren't 20 or more bots waiting to autofill empty slots, assumed server has g_balancedteams 1 set. Problem solved. (without additional admin work) The bots just give players a clear conscience that player numbers are even, they don't care if it's a human or bot. Then there is the other problem that bots do stack the weaker team (on Jay3 it's standard). If no one is online who can !put, players have no choice and must join the team with more humans.

 

+ Playing ET and expecting common sense of the majority is pretty overcharged, you know that

Yes but ppl already know that the solution is just go spec and wait for a boot to go your place and join the right team...

They do it, because they can (and they are lame maybe). And they can do it because of too many bots. Do you think anyone cares about the autobalance feature if no admin is on the server?

 

All I can see in this kind of topics are complaints by players and admins about problems which are caused by bots, yet it's tilting at windmills and nothing happens anyway. I really can't see what's the big deal about lowering the amount of bots, but somehow getting 8 annoying and stack-problem causing bots on the server seems to be very important, even if 12 humans are playing

I believe that the bots are necessary if we are to gain new players for ET.  If new players are constantly slaughtered and never make a kill against the old-timers, they will give up after a while. 

 

The regulars on Jay2 should know by now that they can switch teams by simply going spec, waiting for a bot to auto-fill their slot and then joining the low-human team.

 

Level 4 admins can !put players to even the teams, but they might not like the complaints that these unpopular-to-some actions will generate.

 

I believe that the current "10x10 bot-autofill" is because we admins succumbed to the pleas of "bots off" that we responded to in the past, leaving only a few humans playing on the server.  The bots inflate the player-count on the ET browser and attract players, especially new ones.  If the server only has a few human players on most of the time, then it might be shut down.
