More than that, as far as I do understand it, he explains that there is no way to eradicate/solve it completely. So it is a realistic view of the matter why the auto-mute should stay, IMO. As the point I was making ( now I reread my post and noticed I wasn't very clear of that, on the contrary) : I think, but I could be wrong, that there is a worthwhile difference between having blunt insults and deformed insults. It is a matter of perception, that is the weak point in my argumentation, I admit. But still, I think the auto-mute does serve a valuable purpose in the perception, again I could be wrong, but that is the way I see it Quote
Masa_1964 Posted August 8, 2013 Posted August 8, 2013 I think thats not an issue, seen some done some wondering why it's allowed on vsays and taunts but not on direct writing. Some uses that 60s auto mute on purpose and abuses it sometimes but mostly when ignoring it they loose interest on playing with that automute. Not seen anyone get hurt and complaining on that in long time. Insults can be done many ways so any auto can be by passed, so it have to be done manually by admins. Surely there is differences in personals but I think be more strict will not be good way to encourage playing. Masa_1964 Quote

I dare to say that most of the automutes are completely harmless and often enough people get unmuted by admins :| People getting muted because saying a name is retarded and admins getting muted because of it is even more retarded (although I have to lol when an admin gets muted when he is the only one around ). No, I never saw the use of the auto mute and I never will. And there is a dam easy solution: ADMINS... When there are no admins around => well, I gave you the solution for that... Quote
