i play ET with a slow laptop an HP presario

 

APU E-300 1.3 GHz (only) duo core

with AMD Radeon HD graphic 400 Mb dedicated video memory (max graphic memory 1Gb)

2 Gb RAM DDR3

 

but with some tweaks on cfg and drivers up to date i can hav somthin like

I wrote this topic for players who have not so good computers but want to play ET. There are many fps drops during the game on such computers. I have 1gb ram, 1,6ghz and it's laptop. By those command

You can get a bit more out of that especially on low spec hardware... Also it's good to experiment with some values on different setups and test it with timedemo since the results can be different o

Cfg for lazy people, just put it in etmain folder of your game and make in game /exec LowGraphics.cfg and then /vid_restart Have fun LowGraphics.cfg

seta com_maxfps 71 

And your laptop won't overheat so much :)

Anyways, stable fps is much better!

i know but this laptop is slow u kno.... i cant hav a high stable fps (over 76) on all maps.

so i decided to not fix it.
