who goes on vacation this year and where ?

this year we decided for financial reasons to make not any vacation

the more I would be interested what you all makes so and where it goes?

who relish well, just tell what this year is planned for him

I usually plan last-minute.

 

On my short-list are:

Scotland - Hiking the West Highland way

Ireland - Visiting Dublin (might do it in short-short-short, 2 weeks or so)

Germany - Maybe some cycling with a friend.

And I'm heading for a weekend to Luxembourg in about 3 hours.

 

 

Problems are still that I need to find a job first I graduated this month, but haven't start looking for a job yet. Hence money and time-scheduling are fairly impossible for now.

 

FYI, I'm from the Netherlands, so visiting other countries is easy. Last summer I went walking in Germany, Belgium/Luxembourg and went to Paris. And "the same" weekend to Luxembourg as today as well as another weekend to Paris in December.

Athletic? Nope. More a slight overweight, I don't sport that often other than during holidays. It's just that I don't like holidays where I do nothing (beach etc), so I usually use the breaks to clear my mind. And nothing clears your mind better than doing way to much (>4 large main highlights in one day, including Louvre!) or hiking and get to think about nothing more than the need for food, shower and avoiding missteps that hurt. And that's healthy

 

 

And jobs aren't that hard to find, or is the pay rate bad. A usual holiday for me is about 200~300E, but Lux and Germany are/will be a lot cheaper. But since I'm now student-off, I expect larger/more expensive holidays later on. For now I use the student-holidays

Booked my first vacation since 1992 yesterday...  It may seem a little cliche but after a long time thinking about it, I have decided to spend about 5 days in the Bahamas. Going to drive down to Florida, then cruise out and get on the beach and not move for a week.. Leaving in august
