Jopa Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 my opinion, a great game, perfection of perfection Quote
Ann!b@l Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 Great game.. Already seen many trailers but still love to watch again.. I was only wondering about the requirement to run it, done some search and hmhm.. Don't expect to run it on full details with a basic rig.. Thought I could but will maybe not be able to run it on full or I have to do a sli of my GTX670.. At least GTX680 or HD7970 to run it on full and this is only the requirement for the video card.. http://www.systemreq...sis-3/11526?p=a Quote
Vanaraud Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 Tried the beginning a bit and the gameplay is good as in 2nd one, easy to switch from covert to rambo with Q and E. The graphics is really demanding. As some1 from Crytek said its going to melt your PC. I could play Crysis 2 with high-medium settings with stable 40 fps, mostly near 60-80. Now I´m getting measly 17 average FPS:S with medium-low settings. So Im stalling the play till I get my new rig Quote

Obviously you wont have that problem, to play Crysis 3 on Very High details ou dont need SLI, i think with your card it will run fine. Quote

Which is your average number of fps and is this the setting on multiplayer mode? Quote
MagOo Posted February 26, 2013 Posted February 26, 2013 If the multiplayer is samething as the beta wich i played around 100 hours, shotgun and bash are the only tips i can tell you guys. Run and gun is pretty fun, animation are a little clunky but i saw worse. The beta was awesome, you should have tried it, the single player tho look awesome Quote
STi Posted February 26, 2013 Author Posted February 26, 2013 I hope!! Which is your average number of fps and is this the setting on multiplayer mode? Dont know exactly, but it should be around 35-50fps, i have all the settings in low. I can tweak a little, but i prefer playing with high FPS´s instead of having great graphics. In multiplayer i cannot tell, i only play SP. Usually these type of games i only play SP. Regards. Quote
Vanaraud Posted March 16, 2013 Posted March 16, 2013 So finished the game now with i5 and hd6950 with medium settings and FPS 40-80. Could have ran it with high also(default) without lagging but the metallic surfaces looked better in medium.(lower lighing maybe?). The game looked astonishing: metals had metal structure corrosion eating it up. Rocks had tiny bumps. Water was lifelike as always tradition in the Crysis series. Only the plants looked platantly 2D pictures, as I remember the worst in the triology.(Witcher 2 beats it in that section). Body physics and skin texture was also remarkable. So there was so much to see and watch and often I found myself staring at details instead of discovering threats with the binoculars. The good thing about game was it had video clips in between, then there was some transition period saved by checkpoints while one could gaze at the graphics. The boring part was the action which didn´t up the tempo from the transition period much. Luckily the dramatic music came to save the game in critical moments. While the games graphics and music turned the tension up it was not so thrilling story wise and in fighting scenes. Also I found it not enjoyable to kill all the targets fully cloaked and not raising the alert with bow and then discover that "somewhere" the enemies ranks were doubled in meanwhile. If it was meant to just run through with your guns blazing the amount of targets should have been higher(veteran mode) and they could have been lined up with backs on you(or silent kill should have worked also from frontal attacks). So you could go in cloaked, take out 2-3 enemies with silent kill and then go on rampage with machine gun and armor mode. Some could argue that I could have waited for enemies to line up so I could sneak behind them, but its total waste of time to wait 5-10 min for perfect conditions, go and do everything silently and then discover the enemies ranks reproducing exponentially in main heros kill rate. Also it was boring that you could just sprint through to next checkpoint without shooting a single bullet as AI didn´t do enough to catch the intruder- that means the "Prophet". But the final punchline came from "Psycho" so I´d suggest you to watch the credits also. 1 Quote
Forsaken Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 I have a 670 and its not playable on max settings. Even on high I get less than ideal FPS. Quote
