Averted by a Armed home-owner

Published on Dec 23, 2012

We could be talking about mass murder of children at a slumber party today if the homeowner had not had the gun for defense.

12/22/2012 - SACRAMENTO, CA

A robbery suspect was shot and killed during a home invasion robbery in Sacramento's Pocket neighborhood early Saturday morning.

According to Officer Doug Morse, a homeowner, a robbery suspect and two other people were in a gun battle outside of the home on the 900 block of Haven Court just after 3:30 a.m.

When officers arrived, they found one robbery suspect fatally wounded; the suspect was pronounced dead at the scene. The homeowner was also shot and was transported a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Another robbery suspect, 21 year old Thomas Ordonaz, who was injured in the shooting was later arrested on charges of assault with a deadly weapon and accessory.

A third person showed up at a local hospital with gunshot wounds. It's unclear how this person is connected to the incident, but was detained by police, Morse said.

The Sacramento County coroner has not yet released the identification of the robbery suspect that was killed in the shooting.

Detectives continue to investigate the robbery and shooting.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to call the Sacramento Police Department at (916) 264-5471 or Crime Alert at (916) 443-HELP (4357) or text in a tip to 274637 (CRIMES). Enter SACTIP followed by the tip information. Callers can remain anonymous and may be eligible for a reward of up to $1,000.

I see you have learned the art of sensationalized headlines from the liberal media

The hell?

Please don't use misleading titles in the news section... especially to promote your pro-gun American crap. Some of us don't care. Again. Goes hand in hand with what I said in the other thread. I wish to ignore these sorts of threads, not get forced into them.

IT was not a misleading title sin, is was exactly what was going to happen. Check out the news story, but obviously you do care, or you won't have taken the time to edit my title, local news media link provided.

Also, I don't like your using American as an insult. You are out of line. Replace pro-gun with....

Pro- Israeli Jewish Crap

Pro - white Nazi Crap.

You need to check yourself, your anti American prejudice is showing. Very clearly, and it has no place here or anywhere else.

Relevant topic title updated.

@SiN - No one is forcing you to read any thing, so if you don't like American pro-gun crap move on and don't read topic. Don't need to be hostile towards another fellow member. A simple note of "Please use relevant titles" or Reporting this topic to moderators by using "Report" option in the topic, would have done the work.

@Midnight - Please use relevant titles, rather then anonymous ones in news section.

Thanks. Peace.

The NRA magazine has a news section with stories just like this, at the beginning of every issue. It's titled 'The Armed Citizen' and details stories of little old ladies fighting off masked burglars and purse snatchers.
