beedub
Did not know that. What I do know is it was invented by a chemist/pharmacist that ,I think, intended it to be an elixir of some sort. It originally had cocaine in it, so it was a great energy drink. It was invented in 1885 in Atlanta Georgia. Can't remember the guys name, but I am now going to refer you to my dear friend Wikipedia. He thinks he knows everything, and it is a bit annoying at times, but he is quite knowledgeable. Oh, I just asked him and it was 1886. Without Wikipedia's help I do know that the artist commissioned by Coca Cola to draw holiday ads for them is responsible for the modern day images of Santa Clause. Hadon Sunblom (I think) created the artwork for Coca Cola holiday ads depicting Santa as a Jolly plump full size man. Prior to this Santa was depicted as an elf. beedub
I agree, I miss Coke in 16 oz bottles. I can splurge ever now-and-then and buy the bottled Coke from Mexico; it is made with cane sugar.

What would be cool, is if you could post a photo of the green label. I am curious to see how it looks.

darkfang77
when i visited a coke factory there wasn't a speck of green anywhere. the label was white, then red was added later afaik, coca leaves with no coke are still added iirc.. if this was an old bottle, it'd be b&w anyway. beedub
I have never seen anything about a green logo, that would be cool if you could post it. I was pretty sure you were talking about the logo since the drink was never red.
ajnl
The best coke I've ever had was in Haiti. They use sugar cane and lots of it. Also, they are in glass bottles. The best coke you will ever taste.
