asp
OFF T: Brussels? Damn, we got a gangster here! ON T: Benchmarks are never really reliable, a 5year old card can score better than a new card, it just depends on how the benchmark is performed. But, give us a clue here. What are you going to do with the PC? What's the total amount of money you're willing to give to it?

asp
€1000? With that amount, an i7 and a high-end GPU. Weither ATI, or Nvidia, your choice. Don't go for the Radeon 6850 if you can spend €1000...

Don't go for the Radeon 6850 if you can spend €1000... what he says that 1000euro mark chances the name of the game Now you can put in a much higher gpu!! still I wouldn't recommend a i7, more like an i5 2500 (ultimate gamer cpu if you ask me)

If for programming/video editing/... the i7 (26xx)

The Radeon HD 6950 (http://be.hardware.info/reviews/2070/4-amd-radeon-hd-6950-videokaarten-vergelijkingstest) might be interesting too, and it's cheaper.
