I was protesting against ACTA yesterday, here in Brussels.

Only the info on that site is a bit wrong, it was signed yesterday in Japan and pretty much every Eu country signed it (exclusions of Germany, Finland,Estonia and Slovenia I think. The Netherlands didn't sign it because the approval came to late for the ambassador.)

Anyway I hope it fails like Sopa (wasn't pipa still in act?)

SOPA/PIPA was postponed that doesnt mean it failed.

I can definitely agree with Chuckun here. SOPA/PIPA is nothing compared to ACTA!

But nowadays it looks something like this: Back when Egypt and other states were censoring or disabling the internet to suppress critical voices and news the western hemisphere complained a lot. On the other side censoring or nearly disabling the internet for protection of intellectual property it's more than just fine for the same people?

Hell NO! Europe gotta fight against ACTA like the US had fought against SOPA/PIPA or we're gonna be screwed!

Actually I can't believe that Germany didn't signed it, there's one of our politicians who already tried to gain as much possible informations of us over the internet. Looks like he was on vacation the time this was discusses in our parliament.

It is worse than SOPA and PIPA together. Also I said ACTA was signed in secret, which pretty much means that Germany and the others could have signed, but we haven't found out about it :s.

Too bad my source is a bit unreliable, but whats for sure is that it's already signed by halve the world. What did I say, halve the world? naah just some guys who make those decisions -.-

The world hating on China for censoring internet and see now what they do...

WOAH WOAH WOAH Chuck! From that YouTube video:

What you're saying is (in a irl analogy)-

If I watch some porn, and I learn a new sex position/technique and use it against my hypothetical girlfriend, I'm actually breaking the law?

If you ever have sex, yes, that would be illegal. :o

As I recall, through other fora, Belgium, Poland and Romania have already protested against ACTA.

And @darkfang if someone claims to have invented a certain sexposition (and gets it on a patent), it would pretty much end the porn industry :'(

Also if you've done anything wrong, like uploading something from megaupload, they're allowed to follow you on the computer (under surveillance as they call it), so every time you want to watch pornn they will know...

Getting scared of watching now?
