and another thing...Dare, when you were on, you suggested this. He said that we should make a vote on the forums to delete the stupid W radar map. What do you guys think about this?

@Adlern. That map is allready on they jaymod :P

 

@_Bridge_ Isnt that big huge map with 22 Mb download? Half of the people would take ages to figure out what to do and on that map. :P

yeah _BRIDGES_ is a big download but it's a great map for 6-7 players or 15-20 players either way and the axis get to attack again like in caen and railgun.. and lighthouse but talk about no one ever figuring out a map.. lighthouse is cool but no one would get it. but _BRIDGES_ is easy once axis figure out they are supposed to be attacking not defending: escort truck then escort train. it's good for sniping and fair for either side and everything else too OK am done plugging it lol.

 

any 'new' map usually works like this: a few people know the map but alot of people don/t, the people who know map get bored with lost players and go to the team that completes obj and wins map really fast, so no one has time to learn it. now the people who didn't know map say "this map sucks it is too easy for (allies/axis) to win" and the players who knew the map and kept winning it quick get bored with it and say "this map sucks it is too easy for me to win/defend" --- so people say it sucks but it's just because the teams haven't got it figured out. so whatever new maps give them plenty of time for people to learn them before listening to what anyone says about them.

 

i like temple_final better than MLB temple. every version of temple has bad bot files though - omnibot allies won't go for obj after tank blows temple door. most baserace versions trap allied bots inside a wall too that's one reason i don't like it -- other is that most of the time the map is decided int he first 5 minutes but you still have 20+ min of meaningless game before the map changes. baserace gets one-sided quickly.

 

cathedral is a cool map +1 vote for that.

 

as far as minas tirith it really isn't a very good map. it's way too overscaled and more or less built for 50 players who are three times the size of normal ET players. i like the lord of the rings books and everything but the maps for ET aren't as cool as they sound to actually play on. what do you do on minas tirith if there are only 6 people playing? lol.

 

anyone ever played lockout? i think it's a halo conversion - i can upload it if you can't find it. it's a CTF map that bots won't work on but it's lotta fun frag map. yeah lockout would be awesome to add to the jaymod server..

I think it would be cool to have more maps that the Axis attack on. And one thing about Aldernest is that it inst very balanced. Either the Allies absolutely waste or the Axis dont even let them get close to the door controls. It would be cool if there were closer games.

It's a scrim map. Their are 2 entries one from the top and one from the front. Our servers are running at the lowest artillary allowed rather then others. It's pretty easy to dyno it or use covert and get in the room and open the back door. Their are many ways to win that map if your team knows how to do team work.

 

To win a map in ET you always need teamwork.

I totally agree about the teamwork, the Axis team that I was on completely wasted the Allies. But IDK, something about that map just don't like. And just to put it out there, I love Caen 2.

lighthouse is nice map if confusing. Supergoldrush is fun if tiring
